Spells and Bondage

Part 4: Trouble Ahead

It was the next day. Rus wakes up and smiles. Still happy from last night. He gets out of bed and gets into his robes. He rushes out to head to the great hall to meet with Cora and Draco. He sits by them and smiles.

Draco looks at him "Assuming it went well?"

Cora looks up from her book and smiles

Rus looks around and leans in "He loves me back." He said softly where no one else can hear but them.

Cora smiles and raises her glass "A toast. To my best friend."

Draco raises his "To new adventures for all of us."

Rus raises his "To love. To adventure. To the greatest people I know."

Severus walks in and watches them from the distance. He looks away and walks to Albus.

Albus stood there watching the trio and sees Severus walking up to him "Ah. Severus. We need to talk."

"About what?"

"Rus. It's urgent." Then walks off

Severus follows and looks at him "What is going on?"

"His father escaped Azkaban."

Severus stops in his tracks "He was just put in there wasn't he?"

"Yes. After using the cruciatus curse on his own son. You must be keeping an eye on him. It's dangerous for him to be wondering the corridors at night. I heard it's something he is good at doing."

Severus sighs "Does he know yet?"

"No. Keep it away from him for now. He is still recovering from what happened. Last thing we need is that happening again. He nearly died from it. This time he might."

Severus nods "What should I do? When it comes to hiding him if his father shows."

"You know the spots Severus. Make sure to have Cora along with you. She will easily help defend Rus by your side. She is a very bright witch. But will destroy you if you touch Rus."

Severus nods again "Does the whole staff know?"

"Yes. Everyone is keeping an eye out. Just make sure he stays away from the Daily Prophet. You know how word travels around here." Albus said looking back at the trio

Severus looks that way too. Scared to lose Rus but hiding it so no one sees it.

A boy rushed to the trio with a copy of the Daily Prophet

Severus starts to walk over there with Albus following him.

"Rus. Did you hear the news?"

Rus looks at him "About what?"

"Your father."

"That he is Azkaban. I know."

"Not that."

"Then what?"

"He escaped."

Rus drops his glass

Albus takes the other boy away

Severus grabs Rus by his robes and drags him to his office "We need to teach you a few things. Promise me you will play it safe so you don't go there either."

"Go where? To Azkaban?"

"Yes. I'm going to have you relearn your basics, your stances, best offensive technique and even the curse your father used on you."

Rus stops walking "Are you sure that's a good idea?"

Severus turns to him as he scans the room with his eyes to make sure no one is around. He sees a few people. Then drags Rus to his office closing the door "I can't lose you. Yes. I am sure about this." Then looked at him "You barely made it out of your home that day. Then you barely made it out of the hospital wing recently. These are dark times for you. He won't stop till you drop. Me teaching you this will not only get you in trouble but also myself. But I rather us risk getting caught learning this than your father killing you."
