Part 5: Crossing Paths

'It's been a weird few days. Severus hasn't said much since he saw the Dark Mark on my arm. But how do I explain? He been trying to keep me away. But the end of the day. I needed to grow my strength back, after what my father done to me. People said he was spotting close by. Others say he is at home. Who knows at this point. But when he comes, I'm ready. More than ready. I will not be torturing him. I will be ending his life. With no regret. He doesn't deserve life. Especially taking away my mother and step mother. Those who protected me."

After he finishing writing, he closes the diary and puts it away where no one can see it. He gets off his bed and heads to the great hall after getting into his robes. He sits down and begins eating. He looks up at Cora and waves.

Cora shakes her head disappointed at Rus still. Then walks away to sit elsewhere with Draco.

Rus sighs and pushes his plate away losing his appetite. "Great. Now my best friends won't even talk to me."

Draco looks back at Rus and proceeds to look at Cora after "We need to talk."

"About what?"

Draco whispers in her ear he also is a Death Eater

Cora stood up and walks away. Holding back her tears on how her best friend and boyfriend are both choosing the dark path. But doesn't know that Draco had not choice, nor did Rus. They did it to keep them and their loved ones alive.

Draco walks over to Rus and looks at him as he sits down "I know what happened. When you disappeared."

Rus looks at him "How do you mean?"

"I was there. I seen and heard it all. Um... we share something in common with the situation."

Rus looks at him "You have it too?"

"Not by choice. Yours maybe."

"No. It's actually not. It's to save the ones I love. Before I lose them again. I didn't really wanna do it. But I did."

Draco nodded "Does... he know?"

"Who?"

"Ya know."

"Oh... yeah. He knows. He isn't very thrilled. He is more frustrated and betrayed at the moment."

Severus walks into the great hall seeing Rus and walks back out. Still feeling hurt from him doing what he did. But knows he gotta explain something to him. So he heads to the Slytherin common room and places a note on Rus's bed. He looks out the window for a moment and sighs "He is gonna be irritated that I acted the way I did when I tell him." Then left.

Draco and Rus walks by him and looks back. They watch him walk then look at each other wondering what's going on now. They shrug it off for a moment and heads into the common room. They walk to where their beds are and Draco spots a note "Got mail."

Rus picks it up and opens it. He starts to read it.

"Rus. Meet me later on. We have something we need to discuss. About the mark on your arm. The concerns I have. Let alone the dangers that will come your way. Make sure it's just you. I know Draco and Cora tend to follow and like to know everything. But this is strictly between you and I. - Severus."

Rus closes it "Keep Cora busy. Tonight. It's important and I can't have anyone around me."

"I can do that."

"Make sure she doesn't see me."

"Who is it from?"

Rus looks to make sure no one is walking in the door. He looks back at Draco "My boyfriend." He said happily
