Family dinner

27th of November 2017, Apartment 1A Kensington palace

"can you believe it" Kate says in disbelief as she is looking at her phone. William is sitting down with his head in between is hands and is mumbling something. Alexander on the other hand stands up, leaning up agains the counter of the kitchen. 

Eleanor is looking blankly at Kate's phone along with Kate. "I haven't even met her and they are engaged" Eleanor softly says. 

William quickly rise from his chair angrily. "how and why the hell would he not even tell us he was engaged?!" 

Alexander is also angry and it shows but more calm than his twin brother. "I don't know"

 Kate close her phone as we can hear the cousins running in, Adelaide as the oldest of them all is leading the little group over to the adults. "mommy when is dinner ready" Eleanor smiles at her oldest.

"in about 12 minutes so you kids can play for a bit more and then we are coming to get you. every single cousin cheers and run back to the play room, making the adults lighten up a bit.  

Eleanor stands up and stir the sauce "we have to show him our support, no matter what tho" Kate nods her head, while Alexander now is still looking angry and William looks ready to explode. 

"support him" came Williams voice sternly. 

Alexander quickly add to what his twin brother said "we haven't even met the woman for crying out loud" 

Eleanor and Kate give each other a look "he is your brother and you will support him" Kate tiredly says" twins "Eleanor shakes her head with a smile" Alex slowly looks at William who is sitting next to Kate and its like they have a silent conversation with their eyes. 

Alex then looks to Kate and Eleanor and nods his head, "fine we will, but we are not happy about it" Eleanor giggles and wrap her arms around her husband. "such a good boy" Eleanor says as she kisses her cheek while you can hear William laugh in the back. 

Kate smiles "we need to meet her at some point, god the media is gonna go crazy" 

Eleanor smiles slightly "yes, yes they are" in that moment Alexander gets a call from Harry, "alright guys Harold just called, so ill be right back" Alexander goes out in the hallway to take the call. "I can't believe he still has not called me" William angrily mutters as Kate wraps her arm around his shoulder and kiss his cheek in comfort.  

Alexander comes back from the hallway, "he told me the news and apologized to all of us for not telling before hand. he was just so busy and forgot" Alexander says in a mocking tone that makes William laugh and Eleanor and Kate shake their head in disappointment.

 "well nothing much to do there now, so get the kids for dinner pleas my love" Eleanor walks over to Alex and give him a quick hug" Alexander smiles and kiss her head as he goes to the play room. 

Kate and Ellie then starts setting the table as William is putting the food down and take his seat. the children comes in and take their seats with Alexander following behind them. they are always sitting like this, on one side of the table is from left to right, Adelaide, George, Kate and William. on the other side from right to left is Victoria, Charlotte, Eleanor, Alexander and James. 

everyone sits at the table and start eating as everyone is either laughing or talking. they have a tradition where they do this a least once a week. they do it because they live right next to each other. with Eleanor and Alex in Apartment 1A and Kate and William in Apartment 1. 

as the night comes to and end the Cambridges leave to their own home, but not without their hug goodbye.  

Eleanor picks up Victoria as she is very tired and puts her to bed, "goodnight my Vicky, sleep tight" she then kiss Victorias head and walks down to her husband and 2 other children. 

Addie and Jamie, it's also soon bedtime for you since you have school. "okay mommy" came a cute little reply from James as he motions for Ellie to pick him up. "okay little man" Eleanor picks him up and let James cuddle into her, he is such a mommy's boy.  

Alexander takes Adelaides hand and they walk upstairs with Eleanor carrying James behind them. Alex and Ellie put their kids to sleep and also themself starts to get ready for tomorrow. 

Eleanor and Alexander lays in their bed, and Alex turns to Ellie "can you actually believe he would do this, and only with knowing her for a year" 

Eleanor turns to her husband "if he have actually found his happiness then I'm so happy for him, though I would wish he had waited a bit" Alex nods his head in agreement.

 Eleanor cuddles into Alex with a little smile, as Alex wraps his arms arounds her. "goodnight my love" Alex whispers to his wife, "goodnight darling" Ellie whispers back and close her eyes.
