"Wow I can't believe it's just three days to the wedding Nikah!" Faridah squeals and Basra copies her as she plays with her toys on the carpet.

"Oh! Faridah! You're making me feel nervous!" Aisha frowns

"Why wouldn't you be! You are going to get married to Ibrahim! I can't wait!" she squeals yet again.

They were seated in the living room at Faridah's house talking all the while. Ibrahim had gone to work and Yassir as well so they decided to meet and spend time together for the mean time.

"Faridah please advise me" Aisha speaks up after a while

"What's wrong?"

"I'm contemplating on whether to invite my parents to the wedding, I mean it's not like I don't want to, it's just that after everything that has happened. . ."

"Aisha they are your parents, no matter what they do to you, it's either for your own good or for the sake of love. I know you are still mad at them for making you marry someone whom you didn't like but now can you say you're still mad?" Faridah asks patting her friends back

"I can't say I'm mad but it's still going to be awkward though" Aisha shrugs

"Then invite them, it's now or never, get over all of this and act mature! If you don't settle scores now when do you want to do it? The person you thought you'd hate is now someone you want to be with forever" Faridah smiles at Aisha who nods and hugs her tightly

"Thanks! You're a real help, Basra and Yassir don't need anyone else other than you" Faridah blushes and their chatter continues.

. . .

Ibrahim returns rather late and Aisha sits in the living room waiting for him. She collects his jacket and his suitcase walking him up to his room.

"Ibrahim, I thought of inviting my parents to the wedding on Friday" Aisha states as she arranges his things in his drawers.

"Is that okay with you?" he asks

"Yes, I thought about it" She answers almost immediately.

"Ok sure go ahead" he says

"The thing is I don't know how to start, I haven't spoken to them in a long-time" she says.

"Ok while you make the call, I'll be with you, if you can't keep on going, I'll continue, ok?" he holds her shoulders

"Yes please" He walks her to the edge of the bed sitting her down

He sits opposite her and her phone is kept in their middle. It rings and is answered on the fourth ring.

"Hello?" An older woman's voice is heard

"H-hello?" Aisha's breath is shaky

"Hello Aisha Ya kike?" Her mother asks

"Mama Lafia kalau?" she asks back

"Yaya Ibrahim?" she asks

"Uhm Lafia Mama, can I ask you something?" she speaks up and looks at Ibrahim who gives her an encouraging smile and urges her to keep on going.

"Mhmm"

"My wedding is on Friday, this coming Friday and I want to invite you and Abba" she says

"Masha'Allah of course I'll come, I'll come with your cousins too" she says with an excited voice "I'll inform abba about it as well, we'll see on Friday" she says

"Ok mama, take care, till then" Aisha concludes and hangs up after 3 seconds or so.

She breathes a sigh of relief and Ibrahim claps for her, she rolls her eyes and rests back onto the bed. Ibrahim laughs and gets up walking into the bathroom. She helps him with his night wear. A baggy shirt and matching trousers. She leaves his room heading to her room happy about her decision to call her parents. She knew Ibrahims parents would definitely come for sure.
