This is my first time writing a fanfic! Sorry for any grammatical mistakes!
The sky roared as the heavy droplets of rain hit the ground. Arlo was driving his way to home after working a long day in the bureau. The windshield wiper was on overtime, the whole car was, one could say and to make his entire day better? His tire punctured leaving him no choice but to park his car and stand outside a small liquor shop which was also closed.
The street light flickered. Arlo tapped his foot on the ground anxiously looking through his phone, but there was no connection. It was dark outside.it took one light lamp to go completely dark. There was nobody on sight he could ask for help, or so he thought when he spotted a boy completely drenched in rain carrying a mechanical box and oil stains on his jacket. Arlo could tell the boy was around his age.
He quickly speed runned towards the black headed boy before he left.
“Excuse me.” Arlo grabbed the boy's sleeve just as he was about to leave.
“I couldn't help but notice the tool box you're carrying…can you help me? My tire punctured, and it is difficult to call a mechanic in such weather.” He said sighing as he finally looked at the raven head's eyes and was mesmerized by his features but quickly brushed the feeling away as the man in front of him finally spoke up
He fiddled his hands inside his pocket not really fond of the man in front of him.“I in fact am a mechanic so you can pull your car …" he pointed to the left. “There.” He said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
Arlo felt dumbfounded, How could he not have noticed the mechanic shop that was beside him? Was it due to stress of work? He was quickly taken out of his thoughts as the raven haired in front of him spoke up once again.“You look deep in thought.” John said he folded his arms and looked at Arlo, his filled with his eyes filled with slight concern. Arlo reassured him that he was fine and pulled the car in and then John got to work.
It took John about 15 minutes fix the tire of which he was not proud of, He knew he could be faster, but he decided not to beat himself over It because his currently his main interest was Arlo, who he mid-way realized while working on the tire that it was Arlo…the Welston's king he was so used to seeing the man uphold a Stoic persona that he couldn't even recognize him when he made a distressed expression. He was particularly not fond of Arlo since their morals didn't exactly align, but he was intrigued by his presence, his confidence and deep down admired those traits. He knew Arlo didn't recognize him since they had only bumped together once 3 months ago, when John was rushing to class at 10:45 exact and for some reason he remembers the exact timing, the expression that the boy made when he bumped into him. Not only that, but he was sure that Arlo wouldn't recognize him, I mean, who would recognize the person who they bumped in the hallway 3 months ago?
“You're John right?”
AAAAA SORRY FOR STOPPING WHEN THINGS WERE GETTING INTRESTING (not really) but seriously should I continue this?
