Author's Pov,

The new mansion, a sanctuary for Pihu, was filled with sunlight and fresh air. Her physical recovery was nearly complete, though she still couldn't walk much. Mentally, she continued to wrestle with nightmares, but Rudra was always there for her, whispering reassurances and holding her through the dark hours.

It was a serene evening, and Pihu sat outside in the lawn, the sun casting a warm, golden glow over the garden. The flowers were in full bloom, their colors vibrant against the lush green grass. Scar, Rudra's monstrous pet, now a gentle giant around Pihu, sat contentedly in front of her, enjoying her tender touch.

Pihu gently stroked Scar's fur, her fingers threading through the surprisingly soft hair. "Scar, you have such nice hair," she murmured, a soft smile playing on her lips. "Look at mine, so rough and tangled." Scar, his eyes closed in bliss, purred deeply whenever Pihu's fingers found the spot under his chin, the vibrations a soothing sound in the quiet garden.

Scar, despite his fearsome appearance, had become a source of comfort for Pihu. His loyalty to Rudra extended to her, and he seemed to sense her need for calm and companionship. The two had formed a unique bond, and Pihu found solace in his presence.

Rudra watched from a distance, his heart swelling with a complicated mix of emotions. He saw the way Scar responded to Pihu, the ferocious beast turning into a gentle creature under her touch. It was a stark reminder of the dual lives he led – the loving husband and the vengeful monster. He approached quietly, not wanting to disturb the peaceful moment.

Pihu looked up as Rudra came closer, a genuine smile lighting up her face. "Rudra, look at Scar. He's so cute and sweet. He's so calm and happy."

Rudra muttered under his breath, "Only if you knew." But still smiled, though his eyes held a shadow that Pihu couldn't see. "Scar has good taste. He knows how special you are, Pearl, and how lucky he is to be loved by you."

Pihu laughed softly, the sound a soothing balm to Rudra's soul. "I think he just likes the way I scratch his chin."

Rudra knelt beside her, his hand joining hers in petting Scar. The beast opened one eye lazily, acknowledging Rudra's presence before closing it again, content with the attention. "He knows you're kind," Rudra said softly, his eyes fixed on Pihu's face. "He can sense your gentle heart."

They sat there together, the sun setting in a blaze of colors, casting a warm glow over the garden. The shadows lengthened, but within their circle, a sense of peace and security prevailed. Scar purred contentedly, and for a moment, the world was perfect.

Their moment was interrupted by the ringing of Pihu's phone. She glanced at the caller ID and saw her mom was calling. Since deciding to give Rudra a chance two months ago, Pihu had kept her family and Shivani updated on everything, including her decision to stay with Rudra. Though they were wary of Rudra, they trusted Pihu's judgment.

"Hi, Mom," Pihu answered, her voice brightening.

As Pihu talked animatedly with her mother, Rudra's face turned stoic. He watched as her attention shifted away from him, feeling a familiar pang of possessiveness. He wanted her exclusively to himself, but he forced himself to stay calm. He had been attending therapy to control his obsession, trying his best to be the man Pihu needed. He knew he couldn't be perfect, but he was willing to try anything for her.

Scar, sensing the shift in Rudra's mood, opened his eyes. The beast's gaze sharpened as Pihu's hand stopped scratching his chin. He looked at Rudra, noting his father's frustration. Scar let out a soft purr, drawing Pihu's attention back to him. She smiled and resumed petting him while continuing her conversation.
