The next day Maeve took the bus to work.

She greeted her colleges and went to the locker rooms to change into her red swimming suit.

She loved this job. The colleges were so much nicer than in the diner she used to work in. And it was nice to be outside all day.

Once she stepped outside she headed a familiar voice.

"Wow, someone's looking sexy today."

Maeve turned around smiling.

Tory was walking towards her with a slushy in her hand.

"Me? Look at you." Maeve whistled lowly.

The girls laughed and hugged each other.

"I missed you so much. How was Mexico? Did you have fun?" Tory asked.

Maeve smiled to herself.

"I missed you too. It was definitely a trip I won't forget. How are you? Did you do anything fun?"

"Oh you know, the usual." She brushed her off.

Maeve was a bit confused by that. They normally shared nearly every detail of what happened, but decided not to push her.

"Hey, let's hang out later. I've got to go to the tower." The shorter girl smiled apologetic and hugged her friend.

"Sure. See you later." Tory smiled and walked away.

Once she sat on her little watch tower she looked at her phone.

Eli send her a text.

'Hey babe, I'm gonna be a bit late. Miguel decided to come so I'll pick him up.'

'All right. See you soon.' She send back with a smile, before putting her phone down.

It was kind of more exhausting than she thought it would be. Turns out watching a couple of kids in a pool, making sure they don't drown was nerve wracking.

After a few minutes she saw Sam, Moon and Yasmine arrive and lay down by the pool.

She made a mental note to say 'hi' to Moon later.

"Anthony!" Maeve yelled, trying not to make a big scene as she waved to her friend.

The boy looked confused for a moment before he smiled and walked towards her.

"You trying out for Baywatch?" He asked sarcastically.

Maeve rolled her eyes playfully.

"It was supposed to be a secret, but I guess you figured me out."

He laughed.

"Did I just saw you staring at Yasmine?" Maeve teased.

She knew that Demetri's girlfriend was almost every guy's crush.
