Unexpected Family

Chapter 1: Finding out

Carly's POV

My life is never going to be the same again, how is everyone going to react I didn't ask for this I'm 17 years old for goodness' sake, 6 weeks ago walking home one night changed my life but not for the good I never told anyone what happened but now I must tell someone because now I'm pregnant, I have always wanted children but when I was older and married but not now.

I don't know who to tell or call, I'm home alone with a pregnancy test in my hand that is positive. I reach for my phone that is next to me and call the only person who I need at the moment Marjorie, after a couple of rings she picks up "hello my love you alright" I hear down the phone and I start to sob down the phone "C-C-Can you come round please" "Carly are you okay, where are you, what has happened" "I'm at home" "I'll be there in 15 mins" "okay" I reply back I put down my phone curl up on my bed and wait for Marjorie to turn up.

Marjorie's POV

I hang up the phone with Carly and gab my shoes, car keys and my phone; I jump into the car and start it up, my mind is racing with thoughts about what could be wrong with Carly. I know her parents are away so she is on her own and she is like a daughter to me, I eventually pull up to Carly's house and turn the ignition off and jump out the car and walk up the front door and I knock and wait for Carly to answer the door, she doesn't answer so quickly message her and she messages back that the door is unlocked and she is in her room. I enter the front door and make my way upstairs quickly.

"Carly, can I come in love" I ask whilst knocking on her bedroom door, I hear a faint yes come through and I open the door and what I see breaks my heart, Carly is curled up so small on her bed with red puffy eyes she looks so small in that moment and I knew that what ever was going on was not good.

Carly's POV

I hear Marjorie ask to come in and I reply with a yes, I turn my head to where the door is and Marjorie is stood there and the next thing I new she had me cuddled in a hug and I just sob into her and cling on to her top, I knew she was my boss but she was more than that to me she was my work mum. I feel her run her hand up my back and just whisper that she is here, my tears slowly subside to sniffles and I open my mouth to speak but nothing comes out.

"Carly, can you tell me what wrong" Marjorie asksme and I just nod my head not trusting my voice and I slowly lean over to mybedside table and grab the test and hand it over to her, all I hear is her gaspat what I passed to her "are you pregnant Carly" she asks " Yes" I reply andthen the next question is what I was dreading "who and when did it happen" Marjorieasks me her voice a bit firm, I just sigh knowing I had to tell her and whathappened exactly.
