Catching up; Caroline and Elena

Caroline and Elena's lives are definetly not what they had planned for 25. Caroline has a 3 year old daughter named Star from one of her ex boyfriends, who also don't even know about the child. While yes Caroline is a good mom, and Elena is a good aunt, it's not how they expected their lives to be. They both basically full time parent Star who is a crazy toddler, but for some reason, they both wouldn't change their lives ever. But it's not like a child has stopped either of them from dating, Elena is acually happily dating Stefan Salvatore. Caroline has been in a few relationships, though none of them approved by Star, and to Caroline, Star's opoion is the most important. Elena writes short stories for a living. Caroline sings for gigs but still it isn't very much. They live in a small apartment in New York. 

Catching up; Klaus and Elijah

Klaus worked full-time, he spending almost every second of everyday at work. He hasn't been in a serious relationship since his fiance Cami died 3 years ago, and he spends most of his time working. He doesn't have a social life, doesn't talk to most people. His younger brother who he barely even talks to him, calls him a lone wolf. Elijah on the other hand, works full time to much nowhere near as much as Klaus. He is also happily dating Hayley Marshall and has been thinking about proposing for a few months now. Everything is looking good for them, they are also talking about heir future all the time. Elijah is one of the ony people Klaus will even talk to anymore because Klaus stays at Elijah's quite a bit. Elijah feels bad for his younger brother but he also thinks that he needs to get his life back together.
