-Marco still has nightmares of Walter harassing him multiple times, even after he got therapy.

-Part of the reason He didn't approve of The Non-Consent Kiss Trick that Riya did with Alec was because it reminded him of so many bad memories he had with Walter. (It was actually that part that made him lose his admiration for her.)

-Marco met Riya in a bar where he was working, where he found Riya drunk. He decided to take her in to help deal with her drunk problems.

-Back then, Marco and Riya didn't get along since... The incident, But hanging out with her did... soften her quite a bit.

-Marco actually had an admiration for Riya even before she turned into a villain. (He ended up losing it following the kiss incident, but he still helped her since he felt like he had to.)

-During Marco's hangout with Riya, (AFER he lost his admiration for her.) He comforted her when Riya admitted deep down that she did felt regretful for what she did in S2 and felt awful. She admitted that she did genuinely enjoy Connor and Alec's company, including Rosa's company but felt like she messed up too many times and said she felt like she wasn't any different than her own peers. Marco was.... a bit sympathic, but still comforted her as she continued crying.

-Riya felt awful for how she treated everyone in the game, including Alec and Connor and felt like she acted no different than any of her peers before the game. Deep down, She somewhat gained a crush on Marco, But she never told him because she was still insecure of their relationship and felt guilty for her actions.

-It caused her to fall into some... Self-Destructing Behaviours that were unhealthy for her without Marco knowing. Fortunately, Marco knew what was going on and stopped her before she could go any further.

-Marco spent some time trying to get therapy for Riya to help her so she won't slip back to her self-destructive behaviour ever again. (He never told anyone about it since he was too busy and he forgot.)

-Marco and Riya back then, didn't get along due to some differences and issues, But them hanging out quite a while, made them close friends to the point where they gained a crush on each other.

-However, Deep down Riya is still insecure over her relationship with Marco because she's worried that she will ruin it again like with Alec and Connor.
