A/N: Picture of Saikou House above.
As evening fell, Y/n made her way to Megamo's address, feeling slightly underdressed in a plain white shirt and black checkered pajama pants. She'd brushed off his offer to escort her, mentioning she needed to feed Pochi, her cat.
Now, standing outside his massive house—a towering testament to wealth—she hugged herself, feeling small beneath its grand facade.
The huge black door swung open, and there stood Megamo, dressed in a simple white band shirt and pajama pants. His usual sleek hairstyle was gone, his hair falling casually across his forehead, making him look... approachable.
He always looked perfect and tidy at school. It was rare for him to be seen a hair out of place or his uniform unkempt. Which kinda reminded her of Ayato since he was also meticulous and conscious with how he looks.
'I can't be thinking about him right now. This is ridiculous.' Y/n thought to herself as she gazed at Megamo.
Megamo had a polite smile on his face as he said, "Glad you could make it, Y/n. Come in!" he greeted warmly, stepping aside for her to enter.
As she walked in, the brightness and sheer height of the ceiling, topped with an extravagant chandelier, caught her eye.
She let out an impressed breath. 'Their electric bill must be insane,' she thought.
"I'd introduce you to my parents, but my dad's on a business trip in Taiwan, and my mom's in Singapore," Megamo explained as he led her deeper into the house. "So, it's just me and the house staff here most days."
"Does that mean you're always alone here?" she asked, her voice softened by genuine curiosity.
Megamo chuckled. "Most of the time, yes. My cousins visit occasionally, but it's rare. I've gotten used to it. Actually, being alone helps me focus on my... investigations." His voice lingered on the word, sparking a glint of intrigue in Y/n's eyes.
"Ahh," she murmured, feeling herself becoming more curious about this side of him she'd only glimpsed before. She wondered if Megamo had shown this side of his to any of his friends at school before. Like his student council members perhaps?
Megamo led her to an elevator—an elevator inside a house, which seemed almost too much.
As they ascended to his room, she stole a glance at Megamo, wondering how one person could embody so much mystery. When the elevator dinged open, they walked in the hallway before going inside a room. And let me tell you, that his room didn't disappoint.
It was sleek and corporate, with deep blue walls accented by dark wood. A collection of vinyl records decorated one wall, and a record player stood elegantly in the corner, adding warmth to an otherwise minimalistic space. A large desk with neat stacks of papers and an impressive bookshelf stretched across one side. His bed was at the center of the room while his little 'work' area was on the far left side from the bed.
Megamo looked a little sheepish as he motioned to the desk. "If you'd come five minutes earlier, you'd have seen this place looking like a battlefield— so much papers everywhere. Thanks to our housekeeper, it's at least presentable."
Y/n wandered closer, observing his vinyl collection on the wall. "I didn't peg you as a vinyl collector," she remarked, glancing at him over her shoulder.
She doesn't recognize most of the bands but there are disks here and there that she knows but they are a few.
He nodded with a small smile. "It's one of my little hobbies. I also collect figurines, actually. They're in my game room if you're interested."
