The air was chilly and everything thing was quiet other than the Elizabeth sniffing and Sarah mumbling something into Gerald's ears.

Aurora exchanged a glance with Dylan. This was an unexpected turn of events, but they had no choice but to trust her.

“Why should we believe you?” Sarah asked, her voice skeptical.

Elizabeth looked directly at Aurora. “Because I knew your parents. They saved my life, and I owe them everything. Please, let me help you finish what they started.”

Aurora felt a surge of emotion. She stepped forward, placing a hand on Elizabeth’s shoulder. “We’ll give you a chance. But if you betray us, there will be consequences.”

Elizabeth nodded, relief flooding her eyes. “Thank you. I promise, I won’t let you down.”

With Elizabeth’s guidance, they navigated the temple’s hidden passages, avoiding traps and pitfalls. The air grew thick with anticipation as they approached the inner sanctum.

"Can I say something to you?" Elizabeth asked turning to face Aurora.

   "Go on," Aurora replied.

"You look a lot like your mother. She had the same beautiful face, elegant build and the kindest heart I have ever seen"

Hearing Elizabeth speak so well of her mother brought tears to her eyes. But she quickly wiped it away before anyone could see it.

"You must be close to my parents when they were alive." She managed to say.

"Yes, I knew your mother since her younger days. She was such a sweet young girl. She was never pompous or arrogant to anyone, even those of lower class. She respected and treated everyone equally."

Aurora had more respect for this her mother. She was definitely a great woman whom so many loved. Aurora all the more wish to see her again. But of course, that's impossible.

Elizabeth smiled and patted her hand "I'm happy you grew up well and turned out to be just as beautiful, kind and courageous as your mother was."

Finally, they reached a large chamber adorned with ancient carvings. In the center stood a pedestal, and atop it, the Eye of Horus.

Aurora’s breath caught in her throat. They had found it. What her parents had tried desperately to find. It seemed too good to be true. Now they can stop The Hierarchy's control.

However, before they could celebrate, the sound of footsteps echoed through the chamber. The Hierarchy had found them.

For a minute, nobody moved. The Hierarchy men didn't move either as if they were waiting for instructions from above. The air was tense and it carried weights of fear and anxiety.

Dylan had Aurora stay behind him. He would do anything to protect her even if it would cost him his life. Although, he does not plan on dying yet and leave her to the claws of these monsters.

A fierce battle ensued, the air filled with shouts and the clash of weapons. Aurora fought with everything she had, her heart pounding, adrenaline surging through her veins. The shadows of The Hierarchys agents loomed around her, their presence oppressive and threatening. She moved with a grace and determination she hadn’t known she possessed, each strike and parry fueled by the desperate need to protect those she cared about.

Amid the chaos, she caught sight of Dylan, fighting bravely by her side. His movements were precise, almost methodical, a stark contrast to the chaotic frenzy around them. Their eyes met for a brief moment, a silent exchange of resolve and mutual trust. They had come too far to fail now.

Suddenly, an explosion of light and sound erupted from the center of the temple, shaking the ground beneath their feet. Aurora's gaze snapped to the pedestal at the heart of the chamber, the Eye of Horus gleaming with an otherworldly glow. She knew this was their chance. With a surge of determination, she broke through the fray, her path clear and singular.

She reached the pedestal, her breath ragged. The Eye of Horus pulsed with energy, its power thrumming through her veins the moment her fingers closed around it. A wave of force emanated from the artifact, knocking back The Order’s agents, who fell like ragdolls, overwhelmed by its raw, ancient energy.

For a heartbeat, the temple fell silent, the only sound the hum of the Eye in Aurora’s hand. Then, as if roused by a collective realization of their defeat, The Hierarchy’s forces began to retreat, their dark figures melting into the shadows.

"We have it!” Aurora shouted, her voice ringing with triumph. She turned to see Dylan fighting off the last of their attackers, his expression fierce. As the last agent fell, Dylan ran to her side, his eyes widening at the sight of the Eye.

"With the Eye of Horus, we can finally stand a chance,” Dylan said, his voice filled with awe and relief.

Aurora nodded, her grip tightening on the artifact. “We need to get out of here. Now.”

With the Eye of Horus in their possession, Aurora and her allies made their escape, navigating the labyrinthine corridors of the ancient temple. The journey was perilous, but their spirits were unyielding. Every step forward was a testament to their courage and resolve.

As they emerged from the temple, the dawn was breaking over the horizon, casting a soft golden light over the dense jungle. Aurora felt a profound sense of hope wash over her. She turned to Dylan, their eyes meeting with a mixture of exhaustion and triumph. The bond between them had been forged in the crucible of battle, unbreakable and strong.

"We did it,” she whispered, a smile spreading across her face despite the weariness that tugged at her bones.

Dylan pulled her into a tight embrace not minding the company they had, his hold conveying more than words ever could. “We did. And we’ll keep fighting, together.”

As the sun rose, casting its golden light over the jungle, Aurora knew their journey was far from over. The Eye of Horus was a beacon of hope, a symbol of their defiance against The Hierarchy. She knew that The Hierarchy would soon be back to get back the Eye of Horus from them and they would do all it takes to defeat them. But with their unwavering resolve and the power of the artifact, they would bring down The Hierarchy and reclaim the future her parents had fought so hard to protect.

Their victory today was but a step in their larger quest. The path ahead was fraught with danger and uncertainty, but with Dylan by her side and the Eye of Horus in her grasp, Aurora felt a fierce determination burning within her. Together, they would face whatever came next, driven by the hope of a brighter future. There was something about him that she can't still figure out that gives her confidence and assurance whenever he is by her side.

Maybe it was the concern and deep assurance she see in his eyes. Or it was aura of charisma he gives out. Or maybe it was the word of assurance he says every now and then to her. Or maybe it was because she has fallen.....

No that isn't what I ought to be thinking now. Snap out of it Aurora!

She shook her head and tried to divert her attention to something else. They've got a long journey ahead and she knew more than anyone else that she needs all her sanity to overcome what's coming. After everything is settled, she can address her feelings better.

As they all stood together, watching the dawn of a new day, Aurora silently vowed to honor her parents’ legacy. Although they might have started this fight, she would make sure she finishes it because it has become her own fight as well. The fight was far from over, but with each battle they won, they moved closer to freedom. And as long as they stood together, Aurora knew they would prevail.
