BloodMoon's hues hyper analyzed his surroundings, posture arched and his fingers furled. His hues whisked through the area, yet nothing seemed to snag his eye.
He held his head, speaking: "UGH! No fair, there's no fun to be done!" He whines in a fit of rage, and his counterpart is next to speak.
"Agreed, we thirst for carnage, restless!" They roared, pupils dilating. His lips quirked up as he heard the whimper of a supposed human."Oh~" He whispers, voice low. He trekked onward, cantering over to the play structures in a desperate search for what he wanted.
"Augh! Where could they be!" They said in an outrage, and the ballpit rustled. His gaze lit up.
He lurked within the shadows, and his gaze fixated on a small human... Perhaps they'd be useful if not killed."Hm, I wonder." One muses, advancing upon the human. They were balled up, shaking like a leaf. "How pathetic!" The other sneers, "I can't wait to have its head rested upon my collection!"
He snorts, the more collected one speaking next, huffing out a breath. "Eclipse would be pleased if we were to have a human minion, hm?" They reasoned aloud, and the child audibly whimpered.
"Augh! Fine, fine, but we better find another catch by sundown!" They grumbled, turning away. The other forced themself back in control, pivoting. Their hues zeroed in on the child, forelimbs quivering, arms wrapped neatly around their knees."How pathetic," They mused, voice lowered into a snarl. Their faceplate spun with a hum of curiosity, and he lowered, pushing his brother into the back of his mind.
"I have come to help, tiny human." This felt... Out of character, words lying dry on his tongue, yet whenever the young human's hues rised to meet his own, he couldn't help but feel his mechanical heart lurch with a new emotion.
"W-What?" Their voice wavered, the child's optics lowering, refusing to meet his own.
"Have you forgotten your ears along with your courage? We have come to help." BloodMoon rasps, anger edging his tone. An inescapable, yet pleasurable emotion.
"Oh..." They mumbled, recollecting their breathing.
"Great, great," They cooed, collecting themself. The other one forces themself back into control, shoving them aside, dissolving into a fit of laughter."Seems that the blue-moon has made us soft!" They cackled, a growl edging their tone.
They snarled, face in hands as they struggled for control. The more collective one won the body over.
"Augh!" They grumble in unison, before his gaze flickers over.
"Don't worry, I'll help you through this."
The child nodded slowly, reluctant and wary. Yet, they allowed their curiosity to win over as BloodMoon extended a hand. They take it, allowing them to hoist them up.
"Alright, now care to tell me why you're here after hours?" They hummed, curiosity edging their tone. They cocked their head to the side.
"Okay..." The child mumbles, proceeding to spill the story.
"I, well, my parents left me here– My mama and Dada are always mad when they have a bottle in their hand. But, they always have a bottle in their hand. Mama told me whenever she hits me she loves me-" BloodMoon caught them off guard, scooping them up with ease, despite having a smaller structure they still managed to tower over them.
"Shh, just go to sleep. It'll all be over before you know it," This wasn't a threat, for once. Their eyes grew droopy, and a yawn tugged at their lips. Snuggling into their shoulder, they drift off into a soundless sleep.
