1 year later....
My class was noisy as ever, why couldn't they just be quiet?
I glanced around the room, frustrated with my classmates' constant chatter. Our teacher whom I hadn't learned her name yet, was writing on the blackboard, seemingly oblivious to the commotion. I sighed and tried to focus on my notes, but it was no use. The chatter was like a constant buzz in the background, making it impossible for me to concentrate. As the lesson progressed, my mind began to wander. I was still adjusting to the transition from primary school to high school, and the noise level was just one of many things that overwhelmed me. I really missed the structure and discipline of my previous school.
I sighed and slumped in my seat. This was my second year of high school, and I had expected everything to be more...serious. More mature. But so far, it seemed like grade 9 was just an amplified version of primary school and grade 8 - same drama, same social cliques, same noise.
Sigh...
It was going to be a long year.
