I sat, what was her name? Nekomata? Yeah, I believe so. I sat down with Nekomata at the dining room table. I sat in front of her while Jewel got us some drinks. She came back with juice for our little friend, and a can of soda for me. She then sat down next to me with a sucker in her mouth.
I cracked open the can and took a sip, the air was thick with tension. I set down my can and leaned back a bit.
"So, Nekomata, what brings you here?" I ask as I rest my hands in my lap.
"I am on a job! Nicole wanted me to bring the famous Proxy Andesite to the RandomPlay Video Store." Nekomata said as she looked at me with big wide eyes.
I tilted my head to the side slightly as I looked at her. She wasn't lying from what I can tell, but why there? If I remember correctly, that place was occupied by another Proxy, that could be dangerous. As I was deep in thought, I felt a tug on my arm, I looked down to see Jewel looking up at me.
I tilted my body to her slightly, as I heard her starting to whisper in my ear. "Who's Nicole, and what is RandomPlay Video?" She asked me.
"Nicole is the leader of the Cunny Hares, and RandomPlay is the popular movie store that is run by two siblings. Don't know their names though, but she said that they're Proxy, and their name is Phaeton. I could look into it when she leaves." I explain before leaning back in my chair again.
"And what kind of business does your boss want with us?" I ask Nekomata as I look back at her.
"Nothing that they told me nya. But I think that they just wanted to make introductions!" She said.
I let out a sigh as I thought about what we were going to do. As I was thinking, I was pulled away from the table and into the nearest room, which, unfortunate for me, is the bathroom. I was pulled in and the door closed behind me. I let out a sigh as I leaned against the counter as a pair of arms was trapping me in. I look down to see Jewel looking at me with a concerned and a slightly stressed expression on her face.
"What do we do??" She said in a stressed tone.
I looked over to the side as I contemplated life. "This girl is already in our house, and by the looks of it, she's a stray. There is going to be an ulterior motive for her staying here as we eventually team up with Phatheon." I say.
Jewel let out a whine as she pressed her head on my chest. "But I don't want her to say here..." She said as she looked up at me with big puppy eyes.
I shrugged my shoulders, "Sorry, but it can't be helped. And you know my predictions are right." I say as I cross my arms.
"I know..." Jewel mumbled as she put her chin on my chest, "And I also know that if you take in one, there will be more..."
I put my hand on her shoulder, rubbing her back as I tried to comfort her. "You know even if I was to have a harem, you'd still be my number one."
She looked up at me with a pout on her face, "You promise?" She pouted.
I let out a smile as I let out an amused breath as I nodded her head. It seemed like she calmed down and agreed with me, for the moment. We walked out of the bathroom and back to the dining room where I picked up my drink and downed the rest of it.
"Alright Nekomata," I stared, "I will meet with your boss and Proxy, not her." I say as I point to Jewel that was standing behind me.
"I... think that would be fine..." Nekomata said in a rather worried tone, which made me narrow my eyes.
"Good, now, when will this meeting be?" I ask her.
"It will be tomorrow! At about... six? In the afternoon?" She said as she looked thoughtfully, her cat ears folding with her head as she tilted to the side.
Tomorrow is Saturday, so that is rather convenient for me.
"Good, now, you are free to leave." I say as I point to the door.
Nekomata's ears fell down onto her head as she had a saddened look on her face. I let out a breath as I pursed my lips, this cannot be happening. If I look at her, I won't be able to say no, taking in strays is one of my bad habits and her face was just the tip of the iceberg.
I look over at Jewel who is basically clenching her teeth together to stop her from also taking her in. We both have a problem taking in strays. She looked at me with probably the same look on my face, we then looked back at the girl in front of us that had the biggest watery puppy eyes looking back at us.
