Chapter 6 - Need Some Place To Go

The relief of the end of the war with Tartaros was only brief. Sure, Face was stopped and magic still existed, but there were more downsides. Well, one downside. A major downside. Fairy Tail was disbanded. For an unknown reason, Makarov decided to disband Fairy Tail, something no one thought was possible. The guild was all about family and sticking together no matter what. Now what was everybody suppose to do?

Natsu protested for hours, but Erza silenced him. "Master must have his reasons." This is what she would say. She was always loyal to Makarov for taking her in as a child. She did everything he told her to do over the years, followed every order. Including this final one.

A Week Later . . .

Fairy Tail was no more. Each member went their separate way and no one has been in contact since. Having nowhere to go, Erza began tracking Crime Sorcière. She could've joined Mermaid Heel since Kagura and Millianna were there, but let's face it. This was Erza's chance. Her chance to be with Jellal. It was time for her to stop suppressing these feelings. She needed to embrace them.

"Watch out!" Jellal shouted at Meredy. Having come across another dark guild, Crime Sorcière began attacking. Meredy was surrounded by a group of dark guild members and was having a bit of trouble. Everyone else was occupied by groups of dark guild mages. She wasn't much of a hand-to-hand and close range fighter so she was in a pickle.

One mage snuck up behind Meredy and kicked her in the back, making her fall to the ground. "Meredy!" Rachael shouted, trying to shove her way towards the pink haired girl. She wanted to save her friend, but there were so many mages. Suddenly, a rain of swords came through the roof. All the mages that surrounded Meredy had fallen. The pink haired girl looked around trying to see who saved her, Rachael looking equally surprised. Then they heard the clanking of armor and Meredy's face lit up.

"Erza!" Meredy cheered as she ran to give the Requip Mage a loving hug. "Erza?" Jellal's eyes widened at the name and he looked over, having just finished fighting. "It's been a while Meredy." The redhead said as she patted Meredy on the head. Meredy smiled, backing away from Erza as Jellal came over.

"What are you doing here?" Jellal asked, approaching Erza.

"Good to see you too." She laughed.

"No, I di-. . . I didn't mean it . . . that way. It's ju- . . never mind."

Erza laughed at Jellal's stuttering. "I'm here wondering if I could join your guild."

"Us? Why?"

"Because Fairy Tail disbanded about a week ago and I was hoping that I-"

"Erza Scarlet?" Rachael joined the conversation even though she wasn't invited. "Rachael~" Meredy giggled, trying to get her away from the "couple". "Come on, the rest of us are going to wait outside. You know . . . get some fresh air."

"But I wanna talk to Erza." Rachael cocked her head to the side, completely oblivious to the mood around her. "I'll be with you in a-" Meredy didn't let her finish because she put a hand over Rachael's mouth and dragged her outside, leaving Erza and Jellal alone.

"Meredy, what was that about?" Rachael asked once she was free to speak. All she wanted to do was introduce herself to Erza. What's the harm in that?

"Erza and Jellal don't get to see each other often," Meredy had a sympathetic look on her face. Of course, she knew the whole situation since she had been friends with both mages for a long time. "so when they do we give them alone time."

"Are they dating?" Rachael asked, curious.

"No," Meredy shook her head. "but it's not a mystery that they're both in love with each other. They have been since they were kids." She shrugged her shoulders and sighed softly.

Rachael kept quiet and nodded in understanding, feeling like she shouldn't ask anymore questions. "Ok. We'll just have to talk later then." She mumbled.
