Koralie Part One

Kenric woke up in a very bright room. Light shined on his face, blinding him. And he was in a lot of pain. It felt as though he had 3rd degree burns! Or worse...

"W-where am I-i? Who a-am I? Why do I hurt so much?" He stuttered. It felt as if he hadn't used his voice in years!

"I feared this would happen. Severe trauma can give the victims terrible Amnesia." Someone said, the voice was behind Kenric. The voice sounded female.

"What do you mean?" Kenric asked.

"Although, it is weird that a Telepath forgets his memories..." the voice said.

"I'm a telepath? What's a Telepath?" Kenric asked. "Who are you? Who am I? What are you doing to me?"

"I'm helping you. These burns are terrible. Do you remember anything from before you woke up? Wylie, turn the light down a bit." asked the voice.

"I... I don't think so...?" Kenric said warily. Even though the light dimmed, he still couldn't see who or what was working on him. And why did that name Wylie sound so familiar? "You still haven't told me who you are!"

"Let me work, then I'll get my boss. He'll help you remember" replied the voice.

Before Kenric could respond to that, he felt immediate pain relief. Cool, water-like liquid slashed on his shoulders. He felt pain all over the rest of his body, but his shoulders felt as if they were in heaven.

"I'll be right back. You'll feel pain where I've been working as soon as I let go of the water. But try not to scream or what not. Come Wylie." said the voice.

As soon as the two people (maybe?) left, Kenric was plunged into darkness and pain. He tried his best to not scream, but he might've let out a few squeaks.

It had been about 5 minutes before they returned. And from the sound of footsteps, there was someone else with them. Kenric had gotten used to the darkness by now and he could see three people. A girl with long black hair, a young man with dark skin and short hair (which for some reason this young man looks familiar...) and an old man with wrinkly skin and smells disgustingly of a berry that was very familiar. Kenric couldn't quite place his finger on it though.

"I told you he was still awake. He doesn't remember anything. So I was thinking, because of all the stuff you did to Sophie, you could try and bring back his memory?" said the girl.

Why does that name "Sophie" also sound familiar...? Kenric thought. He proceeded to say, "Give me more of the water, please, I'm burning..." but instead asked

"Who is everyone and why do I need my memories back?"

"Why didn't you tell him? He could've remembered stuff if you told him!" Said the old guy.

"I wasn't sure what you wanted, Sir," said the girl.

"Well, Kenric–" started the old looking guy

"Who's this Kenric?" Kenric asked.

"You. Your name is Kenric, Now shut up and let me explain who you are and why you're here. Maybe you'll remember. You are a counselor. You live in Eternalia, which is a lost city. You are a telepath, and a great leader. In the council, you have a love. Her name is Oralie. She is an Empath. You are here because you saved the council and kids named Sophie and Fitz. You have 5th degree burns and everyone thinks you're dead because you burned to save elvin life. You may call me Mr. Forkle. Your healers are Linh Song (Hydrokinetic) and Wylie Endal (Flasher). You should know Wylie because–" Mr. Forkle said before he got interrupted.

"The council ordered Prentice's Mind Break... I hope you know Wylie, I wasn't with the Council when they ordered that. I was against them. Prentice was a dear friend." finished Kenric. He continued say,

"I remember so much now. Everyone really thinks I'm dead? Oralie will be so mad at me... oh she must be so upset... who took my place? How long was I out?"

"Councilor Alina took your place. She was the old Principal of Foxfire. I swear, she is working for the Neverseen... She put an Ability Rrestrictor on Sophie, which caused a lot of pain for her." Forkle fumed

"What's an Ability Restrictor?" Kenric asked.

"It was created by Dex Dizznee, A brilliant Technopath mind you, and the ability restrictor took away abilities for a temporary period of time. It also puts you in a lot of pain." Wylie said.

"Yeesh! Poor Sophie! Is it safe to say 'I hate Alina?' Also, you didn't answer my question as to how long I was out..." Kenric said.

"Eerrrr..." Linh started "It was for about 4 years..."

"EXCUSE ME! I'VE BEEN OUT FOR FOUR YEARS! Ohhh... Oralie isn't gonna be so happy about this... You have to get me out of here." Kenric pleaded.

"You aren't healed yet. The second you try to get up you pass out because of the pain" Forkle replied.

"Then hurry up and heal me. Please." Kenric said.

" Sigh, fine. Linh, Wylie, you know what to do. I'm so glad Elwin showed you a few tricks for treating burns, Wylie." Mr. Forkle said.
