The next morning Hiccup laid awake in his bed waiting for Gothi to look at his wounds, hoping she would approve of his father's idea so that Toothless could fly but he wouldn't put too much pressure on his wounds.
When Gothi finally arrived Hiccup sat in his bed scratching the head of his night furry friend. She redid the bandages and gave Hiccup medicine to help the swelling.

"I can't believe they were able to save that scrawny boy!" Viggo thundered to his men "but that does not mean that we will give up trying to get information out of him". "What do you suggest we do Brother?" A very displeased Ryker asked his younger brother. "Easy we will take him from berk while he still is weak," Viggo said while taking out a map of berk. Ryker looked happy at the thought of getting to invading berk to get the scrawny weak dragon rider back into their grasp to question and torture him.

"Gothi is there a way for Hiccup to get to the arena so Astrid can fly toothless without having to force the dragon away from Hiccup?" Stoick asked the healer who nodded and wrote something in sand for Gobber to translate "She says The dragon can carry him on the back and walk to the vina. Vina?" that got him a hit on the head with the staff of the healer and he corrected himself "Arena. The dragon can carry him on the back and walk to the arena". Hiccup nearly jumped out of bed because of joy but before that could happen a wave of pain struck from the acid wounds on his chest.
Soon Hiccup was on the back of Toothless walking to the arena where he knew that the other riders practiced with the A-team. "Hiccup! What are you doing here? You are supposed to be resting in bed!" Astrid yelled as she landed in front of the night fury and his rider. "I know that I am supposed to be resting but Toothless somehow needs to fly and I was hoping that you would do that for me though it would only be in the arena," Hiccup said in a calm voice and Astrid nodded so Toothless walked to a bench that the A-team has placed there and let's Hiccup get on it before Astrid mounts him. Hiccup watched Astrid and Toothless unaware of what will come at night.
