Harin never really feels comfortable at home. The atmosphere seems cold way too often, and her relationship with her parents is never the best either. They're too busy to spend time with her, so Harin does what she can to pass time in her empty house.
She confides in her storybooks, something she's always done since she learned to read. It's her escape and comfort zone. She's always found fictional, alternate universes more exciting than her life here on earth - whether that be involving princess and princess, or a simple high school romance that sparks her interest.
However, there's always been times where she has to snap back into reality - like now - when her parents come home from work and tell her that they have another business dinner to attend.
"Oh my god." She mutters under her breath, and then pauses, making sure her mum didn't hear her comment. She sluggishly gets up off her bean bag and puts her book safely away on her book shelves that extend across one whole wall of her room.
To say her family is rich enough to afford this is an understatement. Given how much her parents work for their enterprise business, they're pretty much loaded.
Attending business dinners with her parents though? She very much hates it. The only thing she enjoys is the delicious food she can eat, but having to socialise with the kids of her parent's potential business partners, is always too awkward for her.
She's commonly seen as a sort of quiet, reserved girl. Pretty, but with a shy personality that doesn't make her stand out of the crowd. Nobody has ever really paid enough attention to her to realise that she's actually really beautiful.
But she didn't know that either. Her confidence has never been high enough to realise her self worth, but that's only because of the way she's been brought up.
"I'm ready." She mutters quietly as she arrives downstairs, watching her mother fix in her earrings whilst her father does up his tie.
They don't even spare a glance at her until they reach the door to leave, scanning her outfit to decide whether it's appropriate enough. When they proceed to walk out to the porch to get into the car, Harin lets out a sigh of relief.
Her floral sundress topped with a cropped woolly shrug cardigan earns her parents approval - shockingly. She thought that they'd criticise her since its length is just above the knees.
Even though Harin is your ordinary introvert, her sense of style never fails to impress. She obviously has to keep it modest since her parents are very strict about that, but she manages to pull off the most fashionable outfits she can.

The restaurant Harin and her parents arrive at is nothing out of the ordinary - just what a wealthy family can afford, a high end restaurant that serves all kinds of food served by five star rated chefs.
The waiter takes them to one of the tables situated at the balcony, where the city's beautiful view is clear. Tall buildings and little dots of light make Harin gaze in awe at the view, forgetting where she currently is.
She's broken out of her trance when her mother clears her throat, signalling to Harin with her glaring eyes that the guests are finally here. Harin blinks awkwardly and attempts to sit up straighter, as she looks up at the married couple approaching the table.
"Ah Mr and Mrs Yang, how lovely it is to see you." Her father chuckles, a big smile automatically forming on his face compared to the dead nonchalant expression that he had only a couple of seconds ago.
Her parents stand up to greet them so she follows along, shaking both of their hands until she stops and notices a boy - probably their son - following along from behind them.
Their eyes lock on each other's for a moment and he takes a couple of steps closer to the table.
"This is our son, Yang Jungwon." His dad states, and Harin quickly looks away from him, sitting down beside her parents awkwardly as her face burns red.
The boy she had locked eyes with does the same, quickly blinking out of his trance, not realising he had been staring for a moment too long. He takes a seat, conveniently the one directly opposite Harin at the rectangle table.
The Yang family sits at one side of the table, and the Hwang family at the other.
"This is our daughter, Harin." Her mother replies. "Your son is very handsome."
The boy smiles shyly. "Thank you Mrs Hwang." He replies politely, bowing his head a little.
Harin's eyes find the confidence to glance up at him, only to find that he did the same in that very moment. They both look away awkwardly as the parents continue to talk about business and other things that the neither of them could care less about.
The food finally arrives and a small smile forms on Harin's face as a plate gets given to her, with a delicate looking meal being served. She doesn't waste a second and begins to eat it, along with Jungwon who does the same.
The parents however, they don't even realise that the food's here, but instead proceed with their deep conversation which they look very serious about.
As Harin is eating however, she begins to eat more slowly, feeling a pair of eyes on her. Her cheeks burn red, and she looks to the side when chewing her food.
"Are you okay?" Jungwon asks with his big eyes looking at her with concern.
She looks back at him and almost chokes on her food.
