"Are you okay?" Jungwon asks, with his big eyes looking at her with concern.

She looks back at him and almost chokes on her food when he says this.

She takes her glass and sips the liquid before looking back at Jungwon slowly with a soft, shy smile. She nods at him, and feels the upmost embarrassment in that very moment.

She knew he only meant well, and not to embarrass her. She also couldn't help but think how cute he looked when he asked her the question.

"So, Jungwon." Her father suddenly says, everyone finally turning their attention to the two kids sat at the end of the table. "What's happening in your future?"

Harin watches intently as the boy just blinks for a moment and glances at his parents, before looking back at her dad with a polite smile.

"Career wise? I'm hoping to start University this September, and hopefully major in business like my parents."

The parents all smile and chatter in pride, but Harin is the only one who notices a sense of uncertainty in Jungwon's voice. An uncertain tone which sounds almost too familiar when she replies to the very same question that his father also asks her.

"What about you Harin, dear?"

"Uhm, I'm starting University in September too." She states, with a pause that consists of her parents giving her a glare before she continues to speak quietly. "I'm thinking of majoring in law."

"Oh how wonderful!" Jungwon's mother chuckles happily.

From Harin's judgement throughout all this, the boy's parents seems a lot more different to hers. Even though it's evident that they're both from the same worlds, his parents seem all the more sweeter, with a kind and caring face that resembles their son way too much.

Harin begins to grow a little too hot and flustered as the dinner goes on, and their parent's intense conversation involving business continues. Therefore, she decides to stand up from the table and excuse herself, locking eyes with the boy opposite her for a moment, before heading off to the bathroom for a breather.

She rolls up some tissue paper and soaks it a little with freezing cold water, before dabbing it around her neck to cool her down.

She doesn't know why, but since Jungwon arrived for dinner, she hasn't been able to get this weird nervous feeling out of her stomach. Yes, she's encountered the sons and daughters of other business owners that her parents have often met before, but this boy? There's definitely something different about him that Harin can't quite put her hands on.

It's a feeling she's never really felt before, making it the most unidentifiable. She's shy, she's nervous and she's not sociable enough to speak to people. So the question to herself is,

Why can't I take my eyes off of him?

As she's leaving the bathroom, she lets out a sigh, but in that very same moment as she looks up, she finds Jungwon stood there in the dimly lit corridor, leaning against the stone wall.

Harin can't help but appreciate how attractive he looks in black suit he's wearing, as well as the fact that his hands are in his pockets and his head is tilted upwards slightly. But his eyes... his eyes are on her.

She continues walking and nods her head politely towards him, her goal being to get away as soon as possible.

"And who are you running away from, miss?"

She halts as the sound of his deep yet sweet voice reaches her ears. Harin scrunches her eyes as if she's been caught, biting her lip out of habit before she slowly turns around to face the boy.

"Not a girl of many words, huh?" He states, getting off of the wall and standing straighter, becoming a step closer towards Harin who only just realises that he's much taller than her.

"I'll go back now, I think the adults are waiting." Harin mumbles quietly, but Jungwon doesn't struggle to hear her voice.

"Wait- I mean..." Jungwon begins to grow awkward before he says, "It's boring there, no? They're talking about things I'm sure you don't care about either."

Harin nods her head. "You're right."

"So why don't we just chill here for a bit?" He suggests and Harin can immediately feel her heart racing faster than it was before.

"You can if you want... my parents are strict so I'm going to..." she trails off her words before turning away to leave for good this time, heading back to the dinner table situated at the balcony.

She fans her face as she gets closer to the adults, trying to calm down her flushed cheeks. She sits down and lets out a small breath, before taking a sip of her drink.

It only takes a minute or so before Jungwon also returns, a smirk on his face as he gets closer and locks eyes with Harin.

She can't understand why this is happening to her - whe's making her feel so flustered, just by speaking a couple of words to her. The fact that he asked her to ditch the dinner with him too can't leave Harin's mind.

The time to leave the dinner finally arrives and Harin doesn't know whether she's relieved or not like she usually is. The first thing she wonders is whether or not she'll ever encounter this boy again. Her answer to that is probably no, since that's never happened with any of the other people she's met at these sort of dinners.

"It was lovely to meet you." Jungwon says to Harin's parents as they head out of the restaurant.

Harin just looks around at anything other than the tall boy stood in front of her, feeling awkward and a little disappointed.

Jungwon and his parents shake hands with her parents, when the boy pauses for a moment when it comes to Harin's turn.
