Story 2: protective/jealous

Tk POV

Me and the new probie, Nate Kyle, are playing fuse ball. We are getting along quite well i think we are going to make good friends. We work really well together out on a call. Nate basically knows what someone is about to say before they say it, it's kind of crazy.

Carlos POV

I picked up some street tacos for me and Tk, I'm in the area so i decided that i am going to surprise him and eat lunch with him. When i arrive at the fire house I'm greeted by Judd.
"Where's Tk?" I ask
"Over there playing fuse ball with the probie." Judd says
I make my way over there when i see Tk and i guess the probie laughing at something on his phone. Their shoulders are basically brushing against each other and Tk said something and the other guy laughed and smiled at him.
"Hey babe." I say maybe a little too loud, i heard it echo off the surrounding walls.
"Hey babe." Tk says looking up at me but he looks back down at the phone. Probie looks at me then at Tk and then back at the phone.
"I brought tacos." I say
"You did baby? Thank you!" Tk says he walks over to me taking the bag from me and placing it on the counter.
"Oh Nate this is my husband Carlos. Carlos this is Nate he's the new probie." Tk introduces us. We give each other a small awkward wave.
"Nate you want a taco?" Tk asks, "really Tk?" I say in my head.
"No thank you. I should leave you two alone." Nate says. "Yes please do." I say in my head
"Nonsense. You can eat your lunch with us." Tk says "Carlos wont mind, right?" He looks at me for my approval.
"Right" I nod my head and smile.

Tk POV

There was this awkward tension at the table, and it was really silent I'm actually hoping a call comes in so it stops.
"So what made you come to the 126?" Carlos asks Nate
"Um i didn't really get a choice? At the academy i was just assigned here." Nate replies
"Oh. I didn't know there were open spots available here." Carlos says looking at me
"Judd is going to start spending some more time at home with Wyatt since he's injured and needs 24/7 care." I tell him
"Oh i see." Carlos says, he's talking in his protective tone. I see where the tension is coming from now.
"I gotta go to the bathroom." Nate says, he gets up and leaves the table.

Carlos POV

"I thought he was never going to leave." I finally say
"Why did you have to scare him off?" Tk asks me
"I didn't?" I say furrowing my eyebrows
"Babe." Tk says his sweet little eyes looking at me
"He just gives me bad vibes." I tell him
"Bad vibes?" He questions me
"Yeah. You know...?" I say, i don't really know where i am going with this.
"Um I actually don't know but Nate, he's awesome he can say what someone is about to say on a call. It's like he can predict the future." Tk tells me.
"Oh so can he predict a future with you?" I ask him.
"Carols, he has a future here at the 126 with me as a brother. You have me in your future as your husband and it will always be that way." Tk tells me he grabs my hands and holds them with his.
"Okay." I say. I have no reason to believe that Tk is lying to me i just need to stop being so controlling like he always says but that will always be me. Tk gives me a kiss and i kiss him back.
"Get a room you two." Marian says as she walks past.
