Chapter 6 • what's up with you ?

Luisa pov (next day)

I got out of bed and the first thing I did was go downstairs to have a cold glass of water. It wasn't that I had a hangover but I was definitely thirsty. When I arrived in the kitchen Pedri was already sitting at the kitchen table and I joined him. Ever since we went home last night he's been acting weird, a bit quiet and a look on his face that I haven't seen before on him and I was wondering what it was.

We didn't talk but now and then we kept stealing glances from each other, a tension in the air noticeable.

"Why did you want to leave yesterday all of a sudden?" I asked him and his eyes immediately shot up to meet mine and they were giving me a nervous look but also a strict one

"I was tired and wanted to go home" was all he said but I felt like there was more to it

"By the way gavi asked me if you are free tonight since he doesn't have your number" and it sounded like he wasn't to keen on that idea, but what do I have to loose.

"sure tell him to-"

"Let me just give you his number so you can tell him yourself" he annoyedly said and I immediately felt nervous/embarrassed for what I was about to tell him next, and I think he could sense my nerves.

"What is it?" The questioned look on his face made it worse and without noticing it I was biting my own cheeks trying to hold in my feelings.

"I-I don't have a proper phone..." as soon as I confessed that I stared at the ground, I couldn't bring myself up to look at him. I felt like a loser.

"I have one but it's an older one, I can only text and call by number..." I explained.. it was my first phone that I got from my parents and when I got dumped by myself with nothing I never had the money to buy a proper new one so I'd just stick with the one I had.

"Oh uhm I can answer for you if you want?" And that was an answer I didn't expect, I expected that he would've laughed at me or make a joke about it but he didn't.

"Oh yeah..alright can you just tell him I can meet up at 8" it was kind of awkward that he had to pass the massage but hopefully I'll get a job soon and I can pay for a proper one.

Pedri pov

I can't believe Gavi asked me to do that, like I was suppose to play Cupid or something. I learned something new today, I knew she had a rough past but hearing she didn't even have a proper phone because of it just did something with me.

As promised Gavi was here strictly at eight, she looked really good even though it was a surprise for her where they would be going to.

I had a day off today so I invited the others to come play some fifa with me and Fer, my parents really like them too and they asked me why gavi wasn't here and Luisa also not being here so I explained the situation and their excitement did something with me.

They kept talking about how they could see the match forming and them being cute together but to be honest it grossed me out.

I'm usually really good at fifa but my concentration kept shifting to whatever Gavi an Luisa were doing which resulted in me losing almost everything.

"What's up with you man you suck" ferran whined since we lost in my team for the third time, and usually I'm very good and competitive.

"Yeah last night at the party you suddenly left to" fermin agreeing with the statement ferran just said and it started to feel like everyone was against me

"You're seeing things.. everyone can have an off day and yesterday I was just tired and in need for my bed" I explained getting angry of the interrogation and I hoped they bought my story.

A couple hours passed after we played some more games the boys left because we had a training session early in the morning, we heard the front door open. Gavi and Luisa walked in laughing obvious they had a good time. He greeted us but I simply nodded and walked to the kitchen.

When Luisa told me about the phone thing I couldn't help myself to get her a new one I'm just waiting for the right time to give it to her. I felt another presence in the room and I turned around to see who it was.

"How was your date" I've been wondering that the whole time and now I could ask her about it, and get some answers.

"It wasn't a date" she huffed

"Yeah sure..." I said with a tone noticeable that I was being sarcastic

"It was good" Luisa said not giving away much

"Just good?" I asked trying to fish for more but it seemed that she wasn't going to spill anymore since she simply nodded her head.

"How good ?" I asked not being satisfied with the information just yet

"I don't see how that concerns you ? Luisa said crossing her arms

"Gavi is my friend and I know how he's like" Gavi is one of my best friends but he just loves woman a bit to much and that caused for some girls to end up hurt by him thinking he was serious with them. It could be different this time, he isn't a bad guy or anything and I'm sure in a few years he'll look back and regret some things he did in the past.

"Ahw you care for me how sweet" she said jokingly obviously trying to wind me up.

"I don't" I huffed and gave her look as if she was turning crazy or something and walked past her back into the living room not wanting to give her the satisfaction of her trying to wind me up worked.

This girl....
