'THÉADORA, ARE YOU ready?' my father calls from downstairs as the maids do up the back of my dress. it's navy and pools around my feet, my heels being the ysl opyum heels as i do them up before standing.
'yes!' i call out from my room as i look in the mirror. my hair's our and curly as usual whilst my dress is satin and – like i mentioned before – navy, clinging to my curves as it hugs my body. it has a slit down the side from my mid thigh to the floor, and it's strapless. i have simple make up on with a small wing of eyeliner as i let out a few deep breaths. it's been a week since i found out that charles is my date to the gala, and i can only imagine how kiara reacted. still, i'm surprised he even agreed to go after everything that went down in canada. luckily enough, kika said she's coming with pierre, meaning that this night can't be terrible if i'm with my best friend. i take my purse, placing my phone and any other stray make up products i might need for touch ups in it before i spray myself with some perfume and walk out of my room. i walk downstairs, holding onto the handrail as i see my family already waiting in the foyer.
'you took your time.' hugo speaks as he looks at me and i roll my eyes, making my parents look at me too.
'you look amazing, sweetheart.' my mother gushes as she looks at me as if shocked.
'thank you, maman.' i say with a smile as i kiss her cheek.
'okay, everyone in the car or we're going to be late.' my father speaks as he ushers us all out of the house and into the bentley. my brother and i sit in the back while our parents sit in the front, surprisingly without a chauffeur.
i go on my phone, only to see that i've been added to a groupchat hugo is also in. i look up at him and raise a brow, only to see him smirking with a mischievous glint in his eye.
