I am so mad that I love this asshat. Not even normal love. No this was the type of love that had me making fucking heart eyes every time I so much as thought of him. Made my heart beat like crazy, while my whole being swelled with so much affection, all for one person. How is it even possible to feel this way about someone? Seriously, somebody explain.

Well, I'm not making heart eyes at him right now, I'll tell you that. The incredibly good-looking fucker wasn't letting me do anything fun and it was so boring. In my head, I was strangling him-

More like holding onto his shoulders while you ride his- My wolf spoke up deciding to add his two cents that absolutely was not asked for.

Could you not! I groaned.

I could, but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. My wolf replied smartly and was immediately blocked. He was enjoying the fact that Darren was my mate way more than he should be. I swear if I have to listen to more sex joke I'm going to hunt Jared down just to ask him what he drugged me with so I could shut the fucker up for more than five minutes. Yeah, I can block him out but the fucker is persistent.

Now, back to what I was saying.

Strangulation.

I was just about sick and tired of Darren treating me like cracked glass. He acted like if I got hit by a soft gust of wind I'd fucking shatter. Which I won't by the way. And I was going to prove it to him. The enforcers were spar training right now and I was determined to get in on the action. I had a lot and I mean a lot of pent up aggression that needed some redirecting. It would be amazing if Jared was the one I was redirecting it on, but hey you gotta work with what you got. If everything went as planned, I'd whoop a couple of enforcer asses and Darren wouldn't find out... well, he might, but when he did- and this is key- it would already be too late. After seeing that I can handle myself in a fight, he'd ease the fuck up and let me live a little.

Nah, he's just gonna spank your insipid ass. My wolf spoke up. One would think he'd catch the hint after I blocked him the first time. I ignored him, walking up to the group of sweaty males and females.

All of the enforcers were taller and more toned than the rest of the pack, not including the Alpha and beta. Nickolus was in charge of training. Since he was going to be Darren's beta the responsibility fell to him now. That didn't mean I couldn't show him how it was done. Nick was the first to notice my approach. He was a little taller than me, with curly light brown, blondish hair and brown eyes. Nick nodded at me respectfully.

"Lunos," He greeted and I rolled my eyes. I wish people would just call me Josh for the love of Goddess, but they refused. All of the gathered wolves stopped what they were doing to stare at me in wide-eyed surprise. It was no secret that Darren didn't want me to have a life. I'm honestly shocked I don't have a damn bodyguard.

"Nickolus," I replied as I got closer. "Who wants to fight me?" I asked getting to the chase. The enforcers shifted on their feet nervously. Hopefully, from the memories of past fights with me and not the almost guaranteed repercussions they were going to have to face from Darren. I was definitely scarier than Darren, right? Yeah, we'll go with that. "Nick," I turned to the tall curly-haired beta, "Fight me," I said taking my shirt off.

"W-What?" He sputtered nervously, eyes bulging. Yes. Fear me.

"Fight. Me." I said slowly, "Let's see if you can actually take my position," That seemed to irritate him a little bit. He frowned.

"Old position, Lunos," Nick pointed out, making sure to emphasize the Lunos. "Does the Alpha know you're out here?" I narrowed my eyes at him but ignored that last sentence.
