Barnes lunged for the door, but Chris tackled him to the ground. "You're not going anywhere."
As they cuffed Barnes, Copper received another message. It was from Enola, a single word: "Hurry." Agatha turned to Copper. "We need to get to Enola and Edwin now. This isn't over."
Juliet arrived at an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town, her heart pounding with a mix of fear and determination. She wore a hood and a mask to conceal her identity. Inside, a group of men and women gathered around a large table covered with blueprints and documents. This was The Syndicate, the powerful team behind countless unorganized crimes, including the Mia case.
Juliet, her voice altered by a small device, addressed the group. "The police are getting too close. We need to act now."
One of the men, a tall figure with a scar across his face, nodded. "We have contingencies in place. We'll eliminate anyone who poses a threat."
Juliet's heart raced, but she kept her composure. She had infiltrated The to bring them down from the inside. Every move she made was a step toward avenging her mother's death. She had spent months gathering information and feeding it to the authorities, but now she had to take the next step.
As the meeting concluded, Juliet slipped away to a secluded corner of the warehouse. She pulled out her phone and sent a quick, coded message to Copper: "Warehouse. Now. Bring backup."
Just as she finished, the scar-faced man approached her, suspicion in his eyes. "You seem nervous. Who are you, really?"
Juliet's mind raced. "I'm just concerned about the increasing risks. We can't afford any mistakes."
The man grabbed her arm. "You're hiding something."
Before he could react, Juliet used the element of surprise, twisting free and landing a swift kick to his midsection. He staggered back, giving her a precious few second to make a run for it. She sprinted through the labyrinth of crates and machinery, knowing she had to stay ahead until help arrived.
In the meantime, Copper, Agatha, Chris, and the team raced to the warehouse. "We need to move fast," Copper urged. "The newbie is in danger."
While running off, Agatha couldn't hold back and asked, "But how do you know?
Copper, running alongside her, tripped her phone to Agatha. "I had sent her on a secret mission to act as one of the members of that Syndicate and now she landed herself in danger but have found their hiding place.
Agatha's eyes widened. "So, we're just following her lead now?" Chris, catching up and slipping into the back seat of the car as Agatha started the engine, added, "So now we only have to do what she says?" Copper nodded; frustration evident in her voice. "It seems so. But we have to trust her. She's risking her life for this." Agatha gripped the steering wheel, determination in her eyes. "Then we don't have a moment to lose. Let's move."
The car roared to life, and they sped towards the location Juliet had indicated. The night was thick with tension, the city's streets a blur as they navigated towards the outskirts. Back at the warehouse, Juliet found herself cornered by a group of Syndicate members. She fought fiercely, using her agility and quick reflexes to dodge attacks and land precise blows. But she was outnumbered, and exhaustion was setting in.
