MAISIE WALSH was the greatest child of the god of sun, Apollo. She was known for being a sunshine at camp. Loved by everyone, but not by the only person she truly cared about, PERCY JACKSON.
She arrived at camp at the age of 8. Her mother, Lane Walsh had to leave her there since she was being chased by monsters from the Underworld.
When she arrived she instantly been claimed by her father, Apollo.
She met her half siblings : Will, Gracie, Kayla, Yan, Austin and Jerry.
They were all older than her so she felt safe with them. Protected.
The first person she became friends with was Leo Valdez, a son of Hephaestus. They met when she arrived at camp. They instantly clicked and became best friends.
She then met Piper McLean and Jason Grace, who also became her closest friends.
Piper helps Maisie to be more independent and not let people walk on her. Maisie's really thankful for Piper.
A year ago, it was a stormy day and Maisie was getting ready to go to sleep when she heard Chiron and mr. D running towards the entry of camp.
She sneaked to see what they were doing when she saw him. PERCY JACKSON. She didn't know his name but she was mesmerized by him.
A day after she had to show him around. They soon became friends and were always together.
Until she came. RACHEL. The troublemaker.
She did everything in her power to get Percy's attention. And it worked. Percy started to leave Maisie behind to go with Rachel.
Maisie felt horrible. Like we stabbed her multiple times in the stomach every time she saw him laugh with her.
About a month after, Percy started to be, weird. Always going from Maisie to Rachel and back. Making promises he knew he couldn't keep. Maisie was so in love that she accepted. She accepted everything. She just needed to feel his attention on her, even if it lasted a second.
Maisie's friends tried to make her see what was going on, but she was blinded by love.
SHE WAS THE OTHER WOMAN.
Eventually, a year after, or now, she began to see what was going on. How Percy led her on for nothing.
She, at first, felt horrible. Crying day and night, wondering what she did for him to love someone else.
But it passed.
She understood that it wasn't her fault. And she wanted to make him pay. Make him pay for leading her on for a whole year. Make him pay for all those promises he knew he couldn't keep...
There she is now, tortured between getting revenge, and falling back into his arms.
She made a promise to herself and to her friends, she won't fall for Percy again.
But will she be able to keep that promise ?
Will Percy realize what he lost ?
