IN THE PRESENT
I was laying down on my bed. Zoning out while staring at the golden ceiling. All my thoughts were running in my head.
*sigh
what should I do ?
Of course I thought about getting revenge. Piper was really hyped by that idea, but not as much as Leo. He cared about me like his own sister, and seeing me broken in pieces because of a boy, let alone a boy he doesn't even like, was terrible for him.
But how could I get revenge ?
It had to be something painful. As much as I love him, I would kill to see HIM feeling at least one percent of the pain he made me feel.
I was so submerged by thoughts that I didn't even hear Piper entering my cabin
« Maisie, it's 1:45 pm. You have to come out of your room. »
« I was just thinking. Thinking of a way to get revenge from HIM. »
« Oh that sounds interesting. *she said as she sat on my bed.* What's the big plan ? »
« That's the problem... I don't know how to get revenge... »
« Oh you asked the right person. I love making boys pay for their mistakes. »
I listened to her, mesmerized by her confidence. I always admired her. Who couldn't ? She's amazing. That's why she was my best friend. We were like the good and bad cop.
« You should totally make him regret not choosing you. Make him jealous. »
« Jealous ? He doesn't even like me. Why would he get jealous ? »
« Boys are like that. When they see something they could have but didn't, they go all guilty and crazy. »
« mmh... but how am I supposed to make him jealous ? »
« Fake date someone. Someone he doesn't like. Like Leo. He would be totally down for it, he hates PERCY. »
« You sure that's a good idea ? »
« Don't worry. It won't last long. Just long enough to make him regret playing with you. »
I was kind of skeptical. Why PERCY would be jealous ? I mean, be for real. He chose Rachel, so he wouldn't care if I get a boyfriend. But I was ready to do anything. I was tired of crying and not leaving my room. It had to change, it's changing, today.
« I am going to talk to Leo about that. »
« Go girl ! You finally enter your revenge era. You know you make me think of OLIVIA RODRIGO now ? All confident and beautiful. »
I smile. Olivia was one of my idol. I was happy to be compared to her.
AT CABIN 9
« Leo ? Are you there ? »
Leo pops out of a corner, which makes me jump a bit.
« Hey sis ! What's up ? »
« Well I need to ask you a favor... a big favor. »
« Sure what is it ? »
« Well... I decided to stop crying for Percy. »
« Finally ! You're better off without that freak anyway »
« But Piper told me I couldn't let him get away with everything he did to me. So she had an idea... She said we should fake date to make him jealous and so he feels guilty. It won't last more than a month, just enough to make him angry. »
« Wow you're really becoming a badass ! Welcome to the club. I'm in. »
« Thanks !! We don't have to do anything other than be close and hold hands. »
« Yeah ! It's a good idea. »
« Okay ! Well I'm going to change into a better outfit for dinner.. we will start there ? »
« Sure. See ya there. »
I couldn't believe I was about to do this. Me ? A sweet and kind girl, was about to get revenge. It amused me tho. I couldn't wait to see HIM get mad. I wanted to make HIM feel everything that I felt. I wanted HIM to understand how bad he hurt me.
