I woke up early and prepared breakfast. But it seems like I'm gonna eat it alone. Dad went out before the sun even rose. He told me that he'll going to go to the company before he even went to the airport.

My older brother Changhee, well, he already went out early since his University is kilometers away from home. Heeseung on the other hand, his friends abduct — I mean went to fetch him early.

He didn't tell me in person but chat will do. For sure, they got into Jake's house and were already doing the project at this hour. They needed to pass it today but if they don't, they can't go to the prom. Luckily, I can finally rest at this hour.

Mingxia and I already bought a dress a few days ago. We both are kinda having trouble picking dresses that day. Mingxia liked all of the dresses she picked but sadly, it won't fit.

Oh, I forgot about Mom.

❝What's for breakfast?❞ I almost throw the frying pan when mom suddenly appeared beside me as if she's a ghost. Yeah, I promised mom last time to cook for her and here she is, she took a leave today since she's stressed out yesterday.

Mom sat on the table and I could feel that she's looking at me as if she's watching a cooking show. I flipped the pancake to the other side. ❝Seolhee...❞ By just hearing mom's tone while calling my name, I immediately got a bit of nervous.

I hummed as an answer and waited for her words but in the end she just said... ❝Nothing, forget about it.❞

I secretly turned to see mom and I saw the rarest expression of her. I saw her worried face.

Mingxia came to pick me up using her dad's car. I wasn't surprised that she's already dressed and was wearing a mask that covered the upper part of her face. Is that even required? I noticed that she was holding another mask.

When I got inside, she wore it to me. I didn't complain since I know that she made it herself. As soon as we arrived at school, we went straight to the gym, where the event was located.

Once we entered the gym, I immediately sat on the bleachers while Mingxia went to get drinks but I already saw her end up getting asked by someone and dancing on the dance floor.

Then I realized just now... I forgot to tell Jay that I'm already going to prom with someone. But I think it's fine anyways. He could ask Yuxin instead of waiting for my answer. Besides... I already agreed to Heeseung.

When I got bored of just sitting in the bleachers, I was about to make my way and went outside of the gym just to admire the stars outside but someone blocked my way. He kinda looked familiar.

He offered me a drink. ❝You look stunning tonight, princess.❞ it's obviously not one of my friends. He's a Junior for sure. I just smiled at him and thanked him for the compliment. Our glass bumped into each other and made a toast before we even drank it.

❝You don't have someone with you?❞ He asked. Is it obvious that I have someone with me? Mingxia wasn't even on my side. He playfully laughed all of a sudden making my brow rise. ❝I'm just joking. I'm Lai Xiaobo, your friend Lai Mingxia's younger brother.❞ I saw his smile and got plastered on his face.

No wonder he's familiar.

❝May I ask you for a dance?❞ He lend out his hand, as he slightly bow. So cliché. But in the end, I just accepted his offer and we both walked to the dance floor. His hand was on my waist and the one was holding my left hand.

A minute later while me and Xiaobo were dancing, I saw Mingxia was now dancing with someone else. Then I also began to notice in the corner of my eye, the guy that was also wearing a mask kept staring at me. When I stared at him, he didn't look away.

His eyes were locked on me and at the same time, it was melting me. I wasn't able to hear the music anymore, thanks to my heartbeat which kept ringing in my ear. Xiaobo didn't notice us at all. He's just busy looking the other way as if he was finding a new girl to ask for a dance.

As the music ended, we both bowed to each other as if we were in a royal ball. Xiaobo didn't say goodbye and just walked away after he found another girl.

He's such a total playboy... he's definitely Lee Heeseung II, I swear.

I went to the other table and got myself a drink. What's wrong with drinking if the drink wasn't alcoholic? I took another glass and went to walk towards Mingxia when I spotted her on the bleachers holding her phone. She wasn't wearing her mask now.

I caught off guard when someone snatched me and held me on my wrist before I could even climb on the bleachers. I was brought outside and to the place where students rarely go.

It was him! The masked guy who keeps looking at me while dancing. ❝Where's your partner?❞ He started but I already got familiarize by his voice.

His expression was cold when he looked at me and he even delivered shivers. ❝H-he's gone.❞ I was stuttering. Here he goes again, being jealous for just a small thing.

I heard him breathing out and took off his mask. I was more culture shock seeing his beauty while taking off his mask. With the help of the moon, I saw his face clearly. Heeseung looked like a model seeing him wearing a suit.

❝I thought that I'll be your first dance but I was wrong...❞ He purposely dropped his mask. He went to get the glass that I was holding and drink it straight. What shocked me was that he broke the glass by just also dropping it on the ground before he gently pushed me to the wall.

Pinning my hands by just intertwining with mines. I saw his annoying smirk. ❝... and I'm kind of hurt of that.❞ He didn't waste a second and his head leaned closer until our lips placed to each other.

I again felt the butterflies in my stomach being crazy for his kiss and at the same time, I felt that my heart was melting. After a minute, he pulled out from the kiss and looked me in the eyes.

He freed my one hand and his hand went to hold my cheek and then caressed it. ❝Please, don't hide your gorgeous face. I don't like it.❞ My heart was being crazy again. He then reached for my mask and took it off.

❝That's better,❞ As I saw his gorgeous smile, I felt like I was brought to the sky. I could feel that my face turned into a tomato for blushing hard. ❝Now, shall we continue?❞

What? It's still not done? I didn't pay for this!

I couldn't speak to him. My knees are gonna lose their strength in any minute. When his lips went to meet mine once again, I felt like I was brought to the other end of the universe.
