As I entered the company, the receptionist stopped working and looked at me in shock. She quickly ran to me and greeted me. I just nodded and walked to the elevator where some employees were there. Who looked at me being equally shocked. Oh I guess everyone thought I was dead! What a change of fate.
And this time I will not give up.

I step out of the elevator, my pulse racing. My eyes dart around, taking in the familiar surroundings and the stunned expressions of the employees. They look at me as if seeing a ghost, their faces reflecting shock and disbelief. I can almost hear the whispers around me, and feel their surprise.

Where I once stood in charge, now it's Anaisha who calls the shots, my own company in her hands. The realization of how much things have changed in my absence makes me pause, but I know how good of a business mind person she is because it's not everyone's cup of tea to start a totally new company and bring it to top in just 2 years. The success of VermaTech is all her credit.

My mind races. I wonder what has happened in the past two years, how things have changed. I walked towards her cabin and knocked lightly. It's definitely strange. Knocking on the cabin that was mine all my life. And few seconds later I heard her voice saying, "come in."

As I entered the cabin, she was sitting behind the desk checking on some files, looking as composed and professional as ever. She looks too good in her cream colour vest coat, her blazer was hung on the chair behind. She had specs on and I had never seen her in specs before. She looked so damn pretty and cute in that. The way she is furrowing her eyebrows while reading those files.

I cleared my throat and put forward the bouquet of lilies which I brought with me on the desk. She looked at the lilies first and something flashed in her eyes then she raised her eyes to mine. I gave her a soft smile.

"Good Morning."

I said and sat down on the chair infront of her. She again looked at the lilies and then raised a eyebrow at me.

"What's this for?"

She asked in her cold tone.

"You like lilies."

I shrugged nonchalantly. I mean can't she just accept those flowers and not ask questions about them? Because I definitely don't have many excuses about why I brought those flowers, there is just one reason that I saw them on a stall and I instantly remembered that she likes them so I bought it. But I am definitely not ready enough to answer her KBC level questions about these.
