Those men. It was always these men that I saw in the evening, in my head, in my nightmares

“DNA, DNA, X, X”

Always that word on their lips when they were close to me. It seems real.

Then everything happened quickly: metallic footsteps echoing behind my back, as I ran, with all my strength
Behind a man I recognize only too well, my uncle.

Echoes, all I had in my mind, echoes of everything I heard around me

These strange beings who shoot at us. My uncle who also shot at them. It looked like a movie

And me, a poor little one in the middle who is running away, trying to understand with tears in her eyes.

“Uncle Aamir!!” I shouted constantly.

Then hands grabbing me.

Trying to struggle.

“No, No, NOOO!!!” I screamed in tears

JANE!!!” cried my uncle.

The strange beings pulled me away from him

The more I struggle, the tighter the space becomes. I ran out of air, I cried my eyes out, I kept trying

“DNA, X, YOU!!”

“NOOOOOOO!!..”

   -“HUH??”.. I woke up suddenly.

I ran a trembling hand over my sweaty forehead, trying to regain my composure. It's been a few years since I last had these kinds of nightmares. Yet the vision of these menacing men and the fear on my face and that of my uncle still haunted me.

-"It was just a dream... Just a bad dream," I whispered reassuringly.

I lay down to go back to sleep but with the same question in my head.

"Why does this dream seem so real?..."
