Skye's eyes flutter open, and a wide smile spreads across her face. Today she and her dad, are making friendship bracelets for the Eras Tour. She jumped out of bed and quickly got dressed for the day, her mind already racing with ideas for the bracelets.

She quickly got dressed, her excitement noticeable in every movement. As she dressed, she began to imagine the colourful beads and charms she would use, each representing a different era of Taylor Swift's music.

Travis was waiting downstairs, a cup of coffee in his hands and a stack of pancakes and some syrup in front of him. He'd been up for a while. Last night, he had an idea, an idea he thought was genius, an idea that plays into his fantasies; a bracelet with his phone number on it. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Morning girlie, ready for our bracelet-making adventure?" he asked handing her a plate. Skye nodded enthusiastically "Yes, I've been thinking about ideas all night" Skye said while grabbing some pancakes. After breakfast, they headed out the door and made their way to Micheals.

At Michaels, Skye's eyes sparkled as she explored the aisles, she made it to all the beads. She picked out multiple packs and numbers and letters, a variety of hues, from bright pinks and blues to shimmering silvers and golds. Travis let her choose whatever she liked and was happy to see her so excited.

Once they had their supplies, they headed home and settled down at the kitchen table. Skye started stringing beads onto the string, humming along to Taylor Swift songs playing on the speaker. Travis joined in, his voice surprisingly rhythmic. They chatter and laugh as they work, their fingers busy creating colourful bracelets.

"Hey Skye, I have a plan," Travis said lightly, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Skye's eyes widen with curiosity. "What is it, Daddy?" she asks, looking over at her father. "I'm going to make a friendship bracelet with my phone number on it, and I'm gonna try and give it to Taylor at the concert" he revealed, a sly grin across his face. Skye's jaw dropped in astonishment. "Really? that's so cool! why?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement and confusion. Travis chuckled, "Well, I think she's really pretty, and she seems so kind and lovely, I would love to get to know her and be friends" he said not telling Skye the full truth, secretly he hopes it will lead them to be more than just friends. Skye nodded, her heart racing with anticipation for what will happen.

Hours passed, and the dining room table was now decked with a collection of friendship bracelets. Skye was thrilled with her creations, each uniquely reflecting her love for Taylor Swift.

As she admired her work, a sense of accomplishment washed over her. She had created something truly special, a physical manifestation of her admiration for the singer. These bracelets would not only be a fashion statement but also a symbol of her connection to Taylor Swift and the unforgettable experience they were about to share.

The day before the Eras Tour, the house was filled with infectious tunes of Taylor Swift's songs. They spent the entire day singing along to their favourite tracks, their voices blending in harmony. As the hours passed, their excitement grew. They prepared for the day that would follow, their hearts pounding with anticipation. Packing snacks and essentials, Ear plugs, painkillers, and comfy shoes, every detail was carefully planned. It was a whirlwind of excitement and suspense, a countdown to a magical night.

That night, both Skye and Travis couldn't sleep. Skye was tossing in her bed, her mind racing with excitement. Tomorrow, she would finally get to see her idol, Taylor Swift. Travis on the other was too nervous to sleep, he couldn't help but think about Taylor, and his bracelet, he knew it was a long shot, but he couldn't help but have hope that maybe, just maybe, Taylor Swift would see the bracelet and reach out to him.

As the hours passed, the excitement in the house grew palpable, Skye made her way to her father's room. "Daddy, are you up?" she said slowly opening the door and walking towards the bed. "Yes girlie, are you alright?" he said sitting up in his bed. "Yeah, I just can't sleep, I was wondering if I could stay in here with you tonight?" she says innocently looking down. "Of course you can girlie, come here" he said patting the free spot beside him. Skye jumps in bed and snuggles into Travis's side.

"You ready for tomorrow, girlie?"

"Yes! I can't wait, I hope she plays 'Cornelia Street' and 'Getaway Car', I would die if she plays those"

"Well, I don't think you would die, sweetie, maybe just be really excited," he says putting a strand of Skye's hair behind her ear.

"No, I think I would die," she says dramatically putting her hand on her head.

"Haha, ok girlie"

"Do you think see will see us?"

"With your singing and dancing, I do not have a doubt in my mind that she will notice you"

"Really?" she said looking up at her father

"Definitely" Travis said hugging Skye tightly

"What about the bracelet, do you think it will work?"

"I don't know sweetie, it's a long shot, we just have to wait and see"

"I hope it works, imagine being friends with the Taylor Swift, that would be so cool"

"I hope so too"

"Now how about we close your eyes and drift off to sleep?"

"But I'm not tired yet" she said looking up at her dad with her eyes wide, attempting to guilt Travis into letting her stay up later

"Ok fine, how's school going?"

"It's good, we are learning about dinosaurs, did you know that the T-rex was the biggest dinosaur ever?"

"That's really cool! I remember learning about dinosaurs when I was your age. What's your favourite dinosaur?"

"Hmm, a brak- brakosawus, they remind me of giraffes, with their long necks"

"Brachiosaurus?"

"Yeah those"

"They remind me of giraffes too!"

"Well, now it's really time for bed girlie, goodnight my little star"

"Ok Daddy, goodnight"

sorry, if there's typos, I can't be bothered to proofread it :)

I just came back from a camp, and I'm covered in bruises and mosquitos but on the plus side I didn't get sunburnt so I'm happy about that, considering it was 37°C majority of the time.

I'm thinking about writing a Tayvis one-shot book. should I?
