Stelle's POV:
The following day, as I was walking down the hallway, I saw March 7th approaching. She seemed eager to talk, and I braced myself for the conversation.
"Hey, Stelle!" March 7th called out, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "I was wondering if you'd like to join me for a movie night tonight? It's been a while since we hung out just the two of us."
I hesitated, my mind flashing back to the recent events and my conversation with Firefly. I knew I needed some space to sort through my feelings.
"Thanks for the invite, March," I said, trying to sound casual. "But I already made plans with Firefly. Maybe another time?"
March 7th's smile faltered slightly, but she quickly recovered. "Oh, okay! No problem. Have fun with Firefly."
I could see the disappointment in her eyes, but I needed to prioritize my own emotions right now. "Thanks, March. I'll catch up with you later."
Later that evening, Firefly and I were hanging out in the lounge, laughing and enjoying ourselves. It felt good to relax and not worry about the complicated feelings swirling inside me.
Firefly noticed my thoughtful expression and nudged me. "Everything okay, Stelle?"
I nodded, smiling. "Yeah, just thinking about how much I appreciate this time together. It's exactly what I needed."
Firefly grinned. "I'm glad to hear that. Remember, I'm always here for you."
March 7th's POV:
From across the room, I watched Stelle and Firefly together, a pang of jealousy tugging at my heart. It wasn't just that Stelle had turned down my invitation-it was the realization that she seemed happier with Firefly. I couldn't help but feel left out and worried about the distance growing between us.
As I stood there, I resolved to find a way to reconnect with Stelle. I missed our friendship and the bond we shared. Somehow, I needed to make things right again.
