"Billie! Thea!" I call out to my 'nieces' as I enter Bill and Joanna's house. "Girls?" No answer.
I wander through the house, checking the garage for the girls. Nobody's home. Strange, I thought they'd be here. With their parents at couples therapy, I decided to come keep the girls' company. Just as I'm about to crash on the couch and watch TV, there's a flash outside the window, accompanied by a familiar electrical thud. I rush to the front lawn to see Billie, Thea, and a new group of historical figures spilling out of a new and improved booth.
"Hey, aunt Y/N!" Billie beams as they approach me.
"What the - how did - explain." I trip over my words.
"Well, since the entire universe will be torn apart today without a Wyld Stallyns song to unite everyone, we wanted to form a super group to help you guys out." Thea explains as if this is a normal occurrence.
"The universe is gonna be destroyed today?" This feels a little familiar.
"Yes, unless the chosen ones have the song by 7:17pm." The woman whose outfit matches the booth speaks up.
"Who are you?"
"My name is Kelly."
"Rufus' daughter?" I recall the name.
"Yes. I've been wanting to meet you my whole life. Now I've met you, I can finally say I've met you all."
"You've met Bill and Ted?" She nods. "Where are they?"
"They ran off with the old phone booth. My guess is that they're travelling to find a time where they have the song." They just have to make things harder for us, don't they?
"If you're anything like your father, then we're in good hands." I praise an old friend. "What do we do?"
"There's not much we can do." Kelly frowns.
"I'm part of the band, too. Can't you take me to them so I can help them out?" I pry for a solution.
"I don't know where they are." Kelly shakes her head. "My mother thinks that my father was wrong about the prophecy. She believes that, to unite the universe, you, Bill, and Ted must die."
"What?" Billie and Thea share the same panicked look.
"That's insane. That can't be it." I refuse to believe my death is necessary.
"That's not our biggest problem." I don't like where this is going. "Mother sent out a murder robot to take you out." She drops the bombshell.
"Kelly, you're kidding." She shakes her head with regret. "Don't take this the wrong way, but I much prefer your dad."
"Don't worry, aunt Y/N. We'll protect you!" Thea declares.
"Yeah!" Billie agrees.
"I love you, but don't pull out the heroics. Can't have you getting hurt. Now, you'd better introduce me to our new band mates."
"You got it!" One by one, they introduce me to the group.
"You got Hendrix?" My eyes widen as I fail to contain my excitement.
"Uh-uh." Billie and Thea nod with the same enthusiasm.
"It's an honour to meet you, Mr Hendrix." I shake the legend's hand.
"It's my pleasure." He responds with a smile.
"Alright, dudes, we better get practising!" Billie sets a plan in motion.
"Let's rock!"
Walking towards the garage, we're in high spirits, as much as you can be when facing the end of everything. However, the door opens to reveal the death robot in question. Before we have time to do anything, we're consumed in a blue beam.
