Kahei's POV:
Once we finished our mission, Shinazugawa, Obanai, and I entered Oyataka-Sama's mansion because we had an important meeting to attend.
"We're the last ones, huh?" Sanemi said as we entered the room. Everyone was already sitting and waiting for us. "Sorry to keep you waiting," Obanai added. "Our mission was longer than we believed it would be.." I replied.
Tomioka was at the right, followed by Mitsuri, Tokito, Tsumaranai, Tsuyoi, and Hyozan. Then at the left, there were Ouritsu, Shinobu, Yoko, and us who joined them.
Gyomei was praying like always. "No problem. Well done on your mission." He replied as we all sat. Obanai was next to Yoko, Sanemi next to Obanai and then I was next Sanemi and to Gyomei who was in the middle.
"It's nothing," Sanemi replied. "I heard Kanroji and Tokito fought against the Upper Ranks." Sanemi then added, Mitsuri nodding to his statement. "Yes, they were strong. I felt like I couldn't do it anymore, but we all pulled together. Right, Muichiro?" Kanroji said with a smile.
Tokito nodded to Mitsuri's statement quietly. Sanemi then sighed while placing his elbow on his lap, seeming to think as he held his face with his fingers. "That makes me jealous, why haven't I encountered any Upper Ranks?" He said,
"Oh don't be this sad Shinazugawa-san, I'm sure if you haven't met some now, maybe you'll meet someone greater. Who knows? Maybe you'll fight against Kibutsuji." I added, wanted to reassure him. "Otherwise, you're still the one who killed the most demons. I'm still counting, you're at 415 now." Ouritsu added.
Obanai turned his head to look at Shinazugawa, "Almost everyone is running into them, first Rengoku, then Tengen, and now Kanroji and Tokito. Anyways, how are you two feeling afterward?" He said before turning his gaze towards Mitsuri and Muichiro.
"Oh! Thanks for asking. I'm much better now." Mitsuri replied with a smile. "I'm fine too, although I'm still not in my best form," Muichiro replied after Kanroji.
"If we lose more Hashira, the Corps will be in danger. Defeating two Upper Ranks without dying is a tremendous feat." Himejima added. "You two healed unusually fast this time. What happened?" Shinobu asked with interest. "I believe the masters will talk about that matter too," Tomioka said.
Before any of us could respond to Tomioka's statement, lady Amane, the wife of Kagaya came into the room, making us move to look at her.
"Thank you for waiting so long. At today's Hashira meeting, I Amane Ubuyashiki will represent Kegaya and Kanosei. I would also like to apologize sincerely for the fact that Master Kagaya is no longer able to appear before you in the future due to his declining health." Lady Amane said, bowing her head at us.
We all get shocked at the news that we will no longer be able to see Master Kagaya. We also bow our heads to her.
"Understood. I pray that his flame of life continues to burn even one day longer. I also pray that your spirit remains strong." Gyomei said with respect.
