The Warrior Princess

  Andrew groaned as he attempted to pay attention in his class a few days later. Everything was so, annoyingly easy! He had hoped that there would at least be something that he didn't already know. But somehow, that didn't seem to be the case. But he did run into someone who was somehow just as smart as he was by nature.

  Andrew was sitting in one of his shared classes when the teacher asked, "How many heroes are born with superpowers?" Andrew shot his hand up, but he wasn't called on, making almost the entire class gasp with surprise.

  "Suzanna?" Andrew brought his hand down and turn to look at the girl sitting across from him in the other row. "Ninety-nine percent of heroes are born with superpowers. That one percent includes adult heroes such as Crow or supervillains like Feline." She answered. Andrew was in shock. That was exactly what he was gonna say. "That would be correct." The teacher announced. "Was that what you were gonna say Andrew?" Andrew looked at Suzanna with a glare. "Yes."

  Suzanna had a smirk on her face. That told Andrew everything about her very being that he needed to know. He knew it was painfully obvious that they weren't gonna like each other very much. But with school and friends also comes enemies and those you wish didn't exist.

  Finally, class ended. Andrew quickly packed up his things and was the the first person out of the classroom, meaning he just barely missed the 4th period crowd of people trying to get to their stuff and get to their next class on time.

  But of course, Andrew was always the first one out and therefore, the first one in. At least when it came to getting from class to class.

  Sheesh, how many classes do I have with her? Suzanna was the next to step foot in the next class he had. She claimed a seat right next to him in the front, meaning Andrew had to try his best to ignore her and that smirk she was always sporting.

  Thankfully, Hudson and Edmund were in this class with him, so he didn't have to worry -too much at least. He knew that Suzanna was apparently ridiculously smart, so now it appeared that he had some competition, and he desperately hoped he could win this one.

  Apparently Hudson could sense the tension between them when he walked in a second later flanked by Edmund, because he commented, "Yikes, having an intellect war with her isn't a good idea." "How so?" Andrew asked, raising an eyebrow. "Do you seriously not know who she is?" Edmund asked back. Hudson glared at him. "He doesn't have superhero blood. Remember?" Edmund seemed to slap himself inwardly. "Right. Never mind."

  "Superhero Blood?" Andrew echoed. Suzanna giggled from beside him, making Andrew turn to her with a glare. "Superhero Blood is what us superheroes call the DNA that gives you superpowers." She explained. "But if that's the case, than, wouldn't I technically have Superhero Blood?" Andrew asked. Suzanna thought for a moment. "My sister has superpowers."

  "That's the most likely case, but superpowers can develop without Superhero Blood." Hudson answered. "The only downside to that is the fact that offspring of those heroes will not develop superpowers, so you don't want that to happen." "So you're saying that Jacklin doesn't have Superhero Blood simply because I don't superpowers?" Andrew asked. Hudson suddenly appeared guilty. "That's what usually happens, yes." He admitted.

  Andrew gave him a glare, but didn't do anything. Not having superpowers wasn't something he was sensitive about unless someone compared him to someone with superpowers or said something about Jacklin's DNA being different simply because her brother was an average human.

  "What about the part where you were curious about why I don't know who she is?" Andrew asked. "Oh yeah." Hudson's eyes widened in realization before he met Suzanna's gaze as if to ask 'how do I explain this' before he sighed. "Suzanna belongs to the very first Superhero Family." He explained, slowly. "Her family is known as the Royal Super Family. Suzanna is not an ordinary superhero. Her superhero name is the Warrior Princess."
