Jennie had always dreamt of the perfect wedding with her longtime boyfriend, Taehyung. Every detail was meticulously planned, from the flowers to the venue. The invitations had been sent, the cake had been chosen, and her dress fit like a glove. Everything was supposed to be perfect.

She stood in front of her full-length mirror, her white gown shimmering under the soft light of her bedroom. Her mother stood beside her, tears welling up in her eyes. "Jennie, darling, you look stunning. Taehyung is a very lucky man."

Jennie smiled, though a small part of her heart ached with uncertainty. Taehyung had been distant lately, and the wedding preparations seemed to strain their relationship rather than strengthen it. She pushed the thoughts aside, attributing them to pre-wedding jitters.

Downstairs, the house was bustling with activity. Guests were arriving, laughter and chatter filling the air. Lisa, one of the house workers and Jennie's close friend, was helping coordinate the last-minute details. She had been with the family for years, always present with a smile and a kind word.

"Miss Jennie, everything is in order," Lisa said as she entered the room, bowing slightly. "Is there anything else you need?"

Jennie shook her head, grateful for her friend's presence. "No, Lisa, everything is perfect. Thank you."

Lisa nodded, her eyes lingering on Jennie with a mixture of admiration and concern. "If you need anything, I'll be just downstairs."

As Lisa left, Jennie took a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. She glanced at the clock. Only an hour left until the ceremony. She wondered where Taehyung was; he should have arrived by now.

Just then, her phone buzzed. It was a message from Taehyung: "We need to talk. Meet me in the garden."

Jennie's heart skipped a beat. She hurried downstairs, her dress rustling softly with each step. As she stepped out into the garden, she saw Taehyung pacing nervously.

"Taehyung, what's wrong?" she asked, a sinking feeling in her stomach.

He turned to her, his face troubled. "Jennie, I... I can't do this. I can't marry you."

The words hit her like a physical blow. "What? Why?"

"I'm sorry, Jennie," he said, his voice breaking. "I've met someone else. I didn't mean for this to happen, but it did. I can't go through with the wedding knowing I have feelings for someone else."

Jennie's world spun. She felt like she couldn't breathe. "Taehyung, how could you? After everything we've been through?"

"I know, and I'm so sorry," he said, reaching for her hand. She pulled away, tears streaming down her face.

"Just go," she whispered. "Leave."

Taehyung hesitated, then turned and walked away, leaving Jennie standing alone in the garden, her dreams shattered.

She didn't know how long she stood there, frozen in place. Eventually, she felt a gentle hand on her shoulder. It was Lisa.

"Jennie, are you all right?" she asked softly.

She turned to her, her eyes red and puffy. "No, Lisa, I'm not. Taehyung just left me. He called off the wedding."

Lisa's face remained impassive, but her eyes softened with sympathy. "I'm deeply sorry, Jennie. Is there anything I can do to help?"

Jennie shook her head, feeling utterly lost. "I don't know, Lisa. I don't know what to do."

Lisa hesitated, then spoke with quiet determination. "We can't let everyone know what happened just yet. Let's get through the ceremony. We can think of something."

Jennie nodded numbly. "But who would marry me now? We can't find someone on such short notice."

Lisa took a deep breath. "I will. I'll stand beside you."

Jennie looked at her in surprise. "Lisa, are you sure? This is a lot to ask."

Lisa smiled gently. "You're not asking. I'm offering. Let's do this together."

As they walked back into the house, Jennie felt a small measure of peace. She knew she had a long road ahead to heal from Taehyung's betrayal, but for the first time, she felt like she wasn't facing it alone.

An hour later, Jennie found herself standing beside Lisa, ready to embark on a new and surprising journey together. The ceremony proceeded, and though it wasn't the grand wedding she had originally planned, it marked the beginning of an unexpected and profound chapter in her life.
