40: The End of Janiel

Joey POV

I got out of the car and then quickly dialled Dan's number. He picked up and I then I glanced at the car and placed the phone in my pocket. I knocked on the door and Sawyer answered looking like he just woke up.

"Joey what are you doing here?" He asked.

"To talk about last night." I said with no emotion. Sawyer's eyes started tearing up.

"So everything that happened last night was true?" He asked, his voice cracking. I motioned him to tell me.

"Me and Tyler in your bathroom, you walking in, David crying." Sawyer broke into a crying mess at the mention of David. I hugged Sawyer and rubbed his back.

"David really does like me then." he asked me. I nodded and Sawyer then pulled back and looked at me.

"I want to make things right with David." I smiled at Sawyer when he said this.

"Go then, he's at my house. I'll text Cat to let you in." I said and Sawyer gave me a quick hug and then we left the house. I watched as Sawyer drove off down the street. I got in the car and Dan and I ended that call and then we drove off to Dan's appointment he had with Hope. I gave him a quick kiss as he got out of the car. I drove off back to the house and I entered to see David and Sawyer gone. Cat appeared from the kitchen.

"Hey Joey, David and Sawyer left about 5 minutes ago. And Ingrid went to Shane's to do a collab with Lisa. I nodded.

"So it's just two friends for the day then." I said and cat nodded while carrying over two chicken salads one for me and one for her.

"So what happened with David and Sawyer?" I asked Cat. She shuddered.

"Well I'll just say I had to wash the sheets I the guest room." she said. My eyes widened and I went red.

"Oh well thanks for doing that Cat." I whispered and then my phone rang.

"Hey Nicole, what's up?" I asked. She was sobbing.

"It's mom, she was just rushed to the hospital because of another overdose." she sobbed. I choked back a sob.

"Nicole, I may not be in best terms with her because of what happened when she was here last time but she's still our mother, make sure she's ok please." I tell her as tears roll down my cheeks.

"I will, love you little bro." she said.

"Love you too big sis." I say and hang up. Cat embraces me and we sit on the couch.

"Joey, she'll be ok." Cat says. I just hug her and then I fall pulling Cat with me. We land on the floor our noses touching.

"JOEY! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING?!" I hear Daniel scream. Oh why do more problems have to arise now.

"Dan-" I start.

"No, I'm done." Daniel says and leaves. I sit there and feel more tears come. Cat chases after Daniel but then returns out of breath and then comes over and hugs me tightly.

"I'm here, please don't cry Joey." she said. I cry harder. I just lost Daniel. My heart is shattered.
