Joey POV

I sat with Shane on the couch watching the Hunger Games. We decided to have a best friends day after Shane came out to me saying he was bisexual. I of course was proud of him and his mom was so accepting of him. I knew he was going to be one of my best friends for life.

Daniel POV

I paced back and forth inside my house. I can't believe I hurt Joey. I felt so stupid to let Connor come onto me. I had ruined two great relationships, mine with Joey and Connor with Troye. I sat down on the couch and cried. The feeling of dread and loneliness clouded over my body as I shook with sobs. Joey is probably happy and dating Shane. I lost the love of my life forever. I looked at the coffee table where Joey's engagement and wedding rings lie. I found them in the street the same night Joey took off. I haven't moved them from the coffee table since I brought them home. The tears came again as the memories of us flooded in my mind.

I was pulled from my thoughts when I heard a loud banging at the front door. I got up and opened it. I felt my face lose its colour as my "boss" Mike was standing there with two of his henchmen.

"Well Danny boy, do you have my $450,000 yet?" He asked while examining his nails. I shook my head.

"No sir, I'm sorry, the payments won't be here until tomorrow at approximately 3:30pm." I told him.

"Well at least your shit is together. But because I don't have my money yet, I just have to take your sweet ass for a ride." he said, winking at me. Great, just great.
