The next morning, Hoseok and his mother sat at the dining table, eating breakfast. Hoseok noticed that his mother looked nervous and agitated. She kept fidgeting with her food, barely eating a bite.

"Mom, just tell me whatever you want to tell," Hoseok sighed, dropping his cutlery.

Clara gulped and looked at her son. "Hoseok, I've been seeing someone."

Silence fell over the room as Hoseok tried to digest what his mother had just told him. He drank the entire glass of water in front of him and finally looked at her.

"How did you meet? Who is he? How long have you known each other?" Hoseok asked, his voice filled with a mix of curiosity and concern.

"We met at a mall," Clara began, her eyes lighting up with the memory. "Yoongi saved me from getting my stuff stolen by a thief. His name is Min Yoongi. He's a businessman—a very successful one." Clara paused, looking at her son for any reaction. "We've known each other for a year and six months now. We're dating and... we're planning to get married. Yoongi is thirty years old, and I know I'm older, but he doesn't care."

Hoseok was in disbelief. He was upset that his mother had kept this from him. "Mom, why didn't you tell me sooner?"

"I was scared about how you would react," Clara admitted, her voice trembling. "I know this is a lot to take in, but I didn't want to hide it from you any longer."

Hoseok sighed, torn between wanting his mother to find love and not wanting a stepfather. It was all so confusing. He could see how much his mother loved Yoongi, and he didn't want to break her heart.

"I'd like to meet him," Hoseok finally said, forcing a smile.

Clara clapped her hands excitedly. "He's coming to our house today! Yoongi is excited to meet you too."

Hoseok rolled his eyes, stood up, and pecked his mother's cheek. "I'll see you later, Mom. I have to get to school."

At school, Hoseok was greeted by his five friends—Jimin, Taehyung, Jungkook, Jin, and Namjoon. Jin was dating both Jungkook and Taehyung, while Namjoon and Jimin were a couple. Hoseok always felt like a sixth wheel, but his friends never let him feel left out. They always included him in their conversations, and he was grateful for that.

"Hey, Hobi! You look like you didn't get much sleep," Jimin said, concerned.

Hoseok sighed. "I had a lot on my mind."

"Is it about your stalker?" Taehyung asked, leaning in closer.

"Yeah, and something else too," Hoseok replied, trying to sound nonchalant.

The group had an interesting conversation about Hoseok's stalker, making funny jokes about why the man was stalking him.

"Maybe he's just a fan of your dance moves," Jungkook joked.

"Or he wants to steal your style," Jin added, making everyone laugh.

Hoseok laughed with them, wanting to believe the silly possibilities. It felt good to share a moment of levity with his friends.

When Hoseok reached home, he was met with his mother setting up the table. "Hey, Mom," he greeted her.

Clara hugged him, looking very excited. "Yoongi is here, but he's in the restroom."

Hoseok nodded, feeling nervous. He heard footsteps and turned to see a very handsome Yoongi emerging. Hoseok had seen Yoongi on television and in the news, but he didn't realize how good-looking he was in person. Yoongi had a chiseled jawline, piercing eyes, and a charming smile. He was dressed in a fitted turtleneck that hugged his muscles and biceps, exuding confidence and charisma.

Hoseok knew his mother thought she hit the jackpot. He had to admit, this man was a whole five-course meal.

He sighed and shook his head as Yoongi walked up to him. "Hi, I'm Hoseok," he introduced himself, feeling Yoongi's eyes scrutinizing every feature.

Yoongi smiled, seeming to come out of a trance. "Your mother has said a lot about you."

Hoseok shrugged and extended his hand for a handshake. "I hope we get along."

Yoongi smirked, pulling Hoseok into a hug and whispering in his ear, "We'll get along just fine." The hidden agenda in his tone made Hoseok shiver.
