I blow into the hospital as a deverish of fury. I hear the click, click, click of my shoes on the linoleum of the floor as I storm through the corridor. My hair flowing behind me, a physical representation of my temper, a darker red than usual almost inflated with my magic as it tries to channel my emotions. My fingers sparking as I make my way to Caroline's floor. I was not able to drive as perturbed after feeling my friend die. Blessedly I am a witch, a powerfully long lived one at that, one who knows how to translocate in an instant. Finally I make it to the hallway as I glide to a stop. Blinking at what I see. What the...

Now I am a witch, my brother is a vampire and I have been around long enough (some may say too long) and seen some crazy shit. Hence why I needed a second to process why I was seeing my supposed to be dead friend walking around the hallway as if in a trance. While ghosts were not outside the realm of possibilities, especially not in this magically charged town, I recalled the Salvatore boy giving Care his blood the day prior. Paling as I realized that the vampire blood given had almost been out of her system. Shaking my head, it doesn't matter. it wasn't. She is still here. Elated I move forward going to approach the blonde. "Care," I call out to her. Close enough to grab her arm. Startled, she jerks toward me. "'Lian?" She questions. "What is going on?" Blinking at the nickname before shaking off the shock, elation, belonging.

I corral Caroline back towards her room. Once she is settled back into her bed I inquire, "do you remember yesterday when I told you you were healed through damon's blood?" "Yes"she responds hesitantly, not sure where I am going. "What do you remember?" "I remember Elena here in the room. I remember her saying game on and she..." trails off before gasping, "Oh my God! she killed me! What the hell? what is happening?" the blonde finishes on her way to panicking. "You had vampire blood in your system when you died. You woke up, that means ..." I let the sentence hang as recognition comes over her features, horror comes after. "I'm a vampire," she whispers. I purse my lips, sighing before stating, "not yet... you still have a choice you could choose to die to fade away. It would be painless. Or you can drink blood and complete the transition then you would be a vampire." Silence greets the declaration. I hear only the beeps of the machines coming down the hallway. The lights flicker down the corridor. Our breaths fill the room. Moments pass. I wait patiently as Caroline contemplates her future. "Why would she do this?" she asks, "why would my best friend kill me?" My friend looks over to me with her wide blue eyes, hurt, confusion, pain swimming in them. I contemplate the situation, thinking about it, I come to the determination that it wasn't the human doppelganger Elena. Instead the more likely candidate was her vampire twin, Katerina or Katherine as she is known here. I tell Care as much.

By the time the sun has peaked through the cheap hospital blinds the blonde cheerleader has decided to join me in my unaging life. Instead of a blood bag, easy to find here in the hospital I offer my wrist for the blood to kick off her undead life. "I am magical, by taking my blood as your catalyst to your transition it would...give you a boost," I disclose. "additionally," I tell her, "it would automatically include you in my coven. Generally a witches coven is just family or other witches. I am unique." Here i ignore her snort of amusement as I continue with my explanation. "in many ways but mainly that if a vampire were to start their transition with my blood they would be consequently tied to me as apart of my coven. Which at the moment only includes myself and Garrett but there is one other who is detained and as such cannot participate in the family." Patiently I wait as the Forbes girl processes the info dump I gave her. "You." she says determinantly. Elation flows through me as I realize my friend will be a part of my life for a long time.

I take a knife out of my pocket, pulling it across my wrist in a line, letting the crimson liquid drip onto the floor of the room before offering it up to the blonde on the bed. She hesitantly takes my arm bringing it to her lips. I smile encouragingly toward her, prompting her to take the bleeding limb and pulling at the hole drawing more blood to her mouth until she is able to swallow. She drops my arm promptly as the veins in her face become a visible black colour. Knowing her mother or boyfriend would be back shortly I clairfy what happens next. Aware that Bonnie is a witch I tell her if she isn't offered daylight jewelry, after explaining what it is, I would make her one. Between the two of us we decide to have her play dumb. Cognizant of the fact that her so-called friends never told her anything about the supernatural goings ons of Mystic Falls, my barbie friend wanted her petty revenge now that she was...you know dead. I give Caroline a blood bag to drink before leaving. Letting her know that things may feel weird for a few days as she adjusts to her new species, I tell her I would be back before she is discharged. "Call me if you need me," I tell her as I breeze out of the hospital room. Jumping back to my apartment with ease I did not feel on the way there.
