Hagrid stared at Y/n, his initial shock slowly giving way to a mix of recognition and understanding. He rubbed his beard, his mind racing. "I... I don' know what to say. I never expected... this. I was thinking more along the lines of your offspring or pure luck you held the same name."

Y/n softened his tone, trying to reassure the half-giant. "I understand this is a lot to take in, Hagrid. But I need your help. You were there, you saw things no one else did. Your knowledge could be the key to stopping whatever is happening now."

Hagrid sighed heavily, his broad shoulders slumping. "Alrigh', Y/n. I'll tell yeh what I know. But this stays between us. I don' want the others worryin' 'bout this."

Y/n nodded, grateful for Hagrid's cooperation. "Of course. It's just between us."

Hagrid took a deep breath, his eyes distant as he recalled the past. "It was my third year when it happened. People were gettin' attacked, petrified. They thought it was my pet Acromantula, Aragog. I tried to protect him, but... they expelled me, and snapped my wand. Dumbledore was the only one who believed me. He got me the gamekeeper job."

"I'm sorry to hear Hagrid. Believe me when I say this, If I were there, I would have done everything in my power to help you at the time." Y/n said solemnly.

"I know, Y/n...I know," Hagrid said with a sad smile, his eyes reflecting a deep sorrow from the past.

Y/n thought back on what he heard intently, his mind piecing together the information. "Based on your reaction, however, you know it wasn't Aragog. What else do you remember?"

Hagrid hesitated, then continued. "There was a student. He was the one who turned me in. Said he saw me with Aragog, but I knew it wasn't the creature doin' the attacks. That student, he was always strange, y'know? Too clever for his own good, and somethin' about him."

Y/n's eyes narrowed at the mention of another student. "This student, was he in Slytherin?"

"Yeah, he was. How'd you know?" Hagrid asked, his bushy eyebrows raising in surprise.

"He must be the Heir to Slytherin. He must have found the Chamber," Y/n deduced, his voice cold and calculating.

Hagrid nodded, a sad look in his eyes. "Aye, but I never knew where it was only that the monster in there was somethin' deadly. Powerful."

"Yes, I confirmed my suspicions recently and came to the conclusion that it's a Basilisk," Y/n confirmed, his tone grim. "And you've never seen it?"

"Nah," Hagrid shook his head, his massive frame seeming to shrink with the weight of the memories. "Only heard rumours. People whispered about it, but no one ever saw it and lived to tell the tale."

"Makes sense, you'd be dead otherwise," Y/n said, his mind already racing with the implications of what he'd just learned.

'I still need to figure out how it goes undetected...' Y/n pondered, his brow furrowing in thought.

"Er, is that all you needed to know, Y/n?" Hagrid questioned, his voice tinged with a mix of relief and apprehension.

"Well, no. I have one final question," Y/n continued, his eyes locking onto Hagrid's with a piercing intensity.

"Anything you need, I'll tell you," Hagrid responded, his loyalty and concern for Y/n evident.

"Myrtle Elizabeth Warren." Y/n's words caused Hagrid to flinch. "Your reaction tells me enough. Is she related to the incident?"

After a brief silence, Hagrid stammered, "Er... Yes. She is the one who had passed away during my time here. She is the reason the school had almost closed."
