Descendants 3- the return of the twins

The Truth

Henry’s pov:

As we all headed towards the fairy cottage, all of us being as quiet as we can as to not alert Audrey, Ben leading us as he is the only one who knows where she is I couldn't help but get an uneasy feeling almost as if something that we didn't know was here was lurking around.

Ben and Mal made their way to the house first checking to make sure that the coast was clear for us to move closer, Mal checked the ember and sure enough it was glowing most likely meaning that she is here or somewhere nearby.

As we enter the house we open the door to see.

Nothing, absolutely nothing. I gave Jay a look and together we went upstairs so that we could check it out but the bedrooms were clear as was everything else.

“Well this was a bust” i say to Jay before we head back down the stairs back to the rest of our friends.

“She's not upstairs” Jay says as we get down to them.

“I don't get it there is nowhere else she could be and does anyone else hear that banging” I ask as i walk over to Evie and put my ham=nd in hers making sure she is ok.

Ben goes to open the door and when he does we see Chad sat on the floor whimpering 

“Chad?” Ben was surprised and shocked to see him there, I mean he shouldn't be, he's been pining for Audrey for years.

“I want my mommy” he says with a shaken voice as he rocks back and forth, and i'm not gonna lie i let out a few laughs, to which Evie elbowed me in the stomach with a face to tell me to stop before i regret it, to which i did and fast.

Ben reaches for him and he almost jumps out of his skin “its ok” he says in a  soft voice

“Ben, Ben, your face, she's gone huh?” what is going on with him “ The door is open, im free, freedom” he shouts as he runs through the door screaming.

I just look around the room wondering what the hell has just happened and turned to Evie to ask “ what was it doug said to you in chem class ‘not a lot of there there’ was it cos i definitely see where he got that from” i say trying to hold my laughter back  again as everyone starts walking out.

Harry lets out a laugh shutting the pantry door behind us leaving just me and evie.

“That wasn't funny and you know it he was clearly traumatised from something” she said to me making me stop laughing.

“I'm sorry but all the things he's done to us and the way he treated us you can't blame me love” i told her back she signs and slightly nods her head out the door with her hand out silently  asking me to grab it to meet up with the rest.

“Ooh. All right. Let's get this Audrey chick taken care of already” Uma says with a tired sigh. “What do you call girls and Guys. time to wrap things up?”

“I couldn't agree more. I feel like I've gone through about 20 wars these last few days.” i say referring to everything that we have been through to get this far.

“You know someday your gonna have to tell me how you guys all got teamed up.'' Ben said to us all and let's be honest he looked a little confused as not too long ago we were fighting each other like we were trying to get rid of the other.

Evie left my side to walk a bit further ahead to answer the question “actually Mal promised to let all the kids off the Isle once this is over” she said with a small smile on her face. 

“Mal?” Ben asked confusedly.

“I don't like the tone of that man, what is going on?” I asked, "Why is she hesitating?"
