Chapter 5: Awakening

"My name is Ari. I'm also known as the Spirit of Light. Nice to meet you" Ari introduced herself.

"I'm Euric. Just a human being. Nothing special." I introduced myself.

"Nothing special you say. Says the guy who not only created a powerful but also already wields an unimaginable power." she said.

"What are you on abou-"

"Say, how did you end up here?" She asked.

We talked for a while.

"Ah so that's what happened "

"What's the point, both me and Souri are dead" I expressed grief.

"What did I say at the beginning? You didn't die. You are just floating in this mind space. And before you ask, no time is passing in the real world. So we can spend as much time as we want." Ari said.

"Ouu, that's nice. But how am I supposed to defeat her? " I asked.

"You already have two strongest things to defeat her and her robot." she said.

"But wher-"

"Shh. You have 'spirit enchantment', right? Use it when you are back." she said.

We talked for some time. She clearly knows more about me than I do.

"Who are you?" she suddenly asked.

We had a long conversation before. She knew more about me than I knew. Yet she asked such an absurd question. But I knew. I knew what she asked me about.

"How does she know? Who I am."

"Why does she know? What is inside me."

Most importantly

"Why does whatever she knows is true?"

"Why is it true?"

"Why?"

Regardless, I answered her question. The answer I never knew I had.

"I am......... the spirit of time"

"So you finally showed yourself, spirit of time. " she said.

"Huh? What happened? " I was confused.

"Oh? You are back to your senses. You do remember what you just said, right?" She said,

"YEAH, what was that?" I asked.

"I'll explain later. For now, go back. Also remember your spirit of time power isn't completed. Use your other power to defeat your enemy" she said.

"But you said we can stay as long as we want?" I asked with a sad face.

"Ah? Are you going to miss me? Haha, that's cute." She said,

"..."

"Don't worry, we will meet again," she said.

"Now go"

"Ah what happened to me" I(Souri) thought.

"We were fighting those guys and...."

"Oh right, I was split in half from waist down."

"I'm bleeding. I'm going to die"

I closed my eyes. 2 seconds later a sensation hit me.

"I hear words" I opened my eyes. I saw Euric coming towards me.

He was saying something. At the end he said this, "Advance Restoration"

Suddenly there were strings of light roaming around me. They were coming from a single place. It looked like a clock....... Huh? My body..... It's healed. I'm alive.

I asked "Euric, how did you-"

"So, it's extracted in the perfect time" Euric said.

Then he pulled out his sword and said, "Spirit Enchantment". He used the spell he learned a while ago. His sword suddenly started to glow.

He also said something else. " Luri, activate 'Rush'. " what he said. I was wondering what Luri and Rush were. My attention went to him as I saw an armor created around him out of nowhere.

He said, "Now, time for payback".

"Oh you are alive. Wait, how is she alive and healed!?" Keli said.

"Is that what you should be worried about?" Euric said with confidence.

"Tch. No matter, I'll just kill you again." Keli says and charges at us.

Euric took his stance and disappeared. Before anyone noticed he ... .appeared at top of Night Rose and about to slice her. Keli had to block the attack. But Euric's attack was so strong that Keli went breaking several floors down. I was in shock.

"How is he so strong? He wasn't so strong a while ago. OY ROBOT, KILL HIM." Keli came back up and said.

The robot charged at him. So did Keli. But it was useless. Euric was countering and overpowering both of them at the same time. As if he was playing with them.

"How is he so strong? Why didn't he show his powers earlier? And on top of that what was that magic? Nothing adds up."

Euric suddenly took a stance. He said "Lightning Flash-strike". In a blink of an eye, he slashed the robot in half. Yeah, that heavily armored robot.

" HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? THAT ROBOT WAS MAGICALLY REINFORCED!? " Keli was outraged. She charged at him in rage.

Keli was careless. Euric grabbed the spear. He looked at Keli and said "Hope we never meet again". He used the blunt side of the sword and smacked her so hard that she went flying.

"Phew, finally got it. I can't believe 'Rush' was unlocked at the perfect time." I(Euric) said.

"..." Souri just kept looking at me.

My armor hid itself.

"Hey, how long are you going to stare at me?" I asked.

"Oh, my bad '' Souri got up.

"I'll explain everything once we are out of here." I said.

"Uhh..okay" Souri agreed.

Now I need to pull out the 'Core of Azure'. I used Luri to check any anomaly. After confirming everything I broke the spear and got the artifact.

"Let's go"

I and Souri escaped the place. Before escaping, I caused a large explosion to keep them busy.

After an hour, we finally reached Nia's home. I informed Nia what happened there. As soon as we opened the door, Nia jumped at us with a crying face. I moved away before she could catch me because I'm already too exhausted to deal with anything.

"Souri, I leave Nia to you, Imma sleep." I said.

"Wha- wait"

"Waaaaah *sobs* Souriiiiii"
