Athena is supposed to be the daughter of two lunatic scientists. But to them, she was their experiment, their wonderful, amazing, beautiful experiment, but never a daughter. She could never lead a normal life because of that. All she wanted was to be like every other teenager, who went to school and had friends. Instead, she was constantly being tested in the lab; when she wasn't there, she was in her dog crate, cold and alone.

It infuriates her even further when fourteen other kids are brought to the lab to make their dream come true. The plan was to recreate the twelve Greek Olympians, along with three other important gods, out of average, everyday teenagers. The tests are brutal, and only seven come out alive, but they are as close to their god counterparts as any human can create.

They don't know that their presence has angered the real gods. The sky splits in two, and chaos and destruction spread the Earth like a plague. The gang of seven have to rely on each other for survival, and they turn to Athena, an intelligent girl of strategy and logic, to lead them to safety. They hope to change and begin to live normal lives.

But it is never that easy. Zeus descends from the heavens and brings solemn news to the group.

The seven will have to die,

or the world will take their place.
