Daryl POV:

I looked at the RV, it was about 50 yards away from us. No one was outside, but I could see that the tracks that led up to it were fresh, no more than half an hour old. I motioned for Rick and Negan to follow me to get a little closer to the RV while still staying hidden. We ended up behind a couple of high bushes just a few yards from the RV.

I was scoping out the area around the RV as well as the vehicle itself.  I strained my ears trying to hear anything that I could from inside. "I can't hear anythin', can you?" I asked, the question was aimed at Rick, however Negan answered instead.

"Nah, I can't hear shit out here. Want me to get closer?" He inquired. Rick's mouth fell open as I whipped my head around, I quickly squinted my eyes toward Negan. Was he serious?

I didn't have time for this shit. I needed to get Hazel back, safely in my arms. I waved Negan's suggestion away with my hand. "Look, this is what-" I started but then was interrupted by the most blood curdling scream I have ever heard. It chilled me to the bone; there's no one else that could be screaming in there except for my beloved.

I turned my head back quickly to them. "Rick, ya grab one of the smoke grenades?" I inquired, a plan coming together in my mind. He nodded, I smiled my thanks to him as I extended my hand. "Ya gonna open the front door and throw it in?" Negan asked. I scoffed at him.

Rick found the smoke grenade in his pack and handed it over to me gingerly.

"No, that'd be fuckin' stupid, Negan," I said shortly while reminding myself I really didn't have time to pick fights with Negan right now. "I'm goin' on the roof and dropping it in from there. I want you guys to be right outside the doors. There's one on the side that we can see from here, so there should be another door on the back. When I drop it, they'll try to run out. That's when you guys detain the other two and I'll grab Hazel," I said quickly. Things never go according to plan, but it was good to have an idea as to how we wanted to play this.

Rick and Negan nodded to me. Just then I heard a crack! followed by another scream; this one was quicker then it was followed by a loud thud! as if something heavy had fallen, like a body. I felt such anger flowing through my blood for those that are hurting her.

Why?

Why her, again?

I ran over to the RV, climbed the ladder mounted on the back swiftly and quietly as I watched Rick and Negan take their positions. Once I got on top of the RV, I found the roof vent. It was open just enough to get the smoke grenade in there. I peaked through the vent for just a second to see what ever I was able to. I gasped as I looked down at the scene. The large bald man had picked Hazel up off of the floor by her hair, putting her in the chair at the RV's 'kitchen' table now confirming she was the body to hit the ground that we heard. She was visibly shaking, I could also hear her shaky breathing and a small whimper of pain left her lips as he set her in the chair aggressively. It was taking all I had in me to keep myself calm as I watched him throw her around like she was nothing.

They had Hazel handcuffed and blindfolded. Her hands were on top of the table, as they were handcuffed, she brought them together as if in prayer. I could see that she was now leaning forward at the table, wincing in pain as she did so. She was trying to lay her head down on left arm. As I moved back to adjust my view, I could see that her back was exposed; the back of her shirt had been cut open. I put my hand over my mouth as I gasped as I saw she had two long, deep, bloody gashes running from the top of her back all the way down close to her bottom. Her body was shaking as if she were cold, but I knew it was because she was in such terrible pain.

The crack sound must have been some sort of short ranged whip. They were whipping her bloody, after what she had already endured at Roderick's hand. I couldn't let them do it again; I pulled the pin and dropped the smoke grenade down without a second thought.
