Spooky Month

Chapter 6: Halloween
It was Halloween morning, Prof. Flitwick had announced that all of the students in Charms class would be ready to make objects fly, which made [Name] quite excited as she always wanted to try to make something fly. She was partnered up with Amanda to practice and help each other out, while she did hear some arguing over at Hermione and Ron table.

She hadn't seen them talk to each other after the incident last night. "Now, don't forget that nice wrist movement we've been practicing!" Prof. Flitwick demonstrated to the class and remind them to swish them flick.

[Name] and Amanda both struggle a bit to get their feathers to float up, while Amanda was the first one to over make her feather float. "Remember you got to say Wingardium Leviosa." She reminded [Name], to which she nodded

"W...Wingardium Leviosa." She mumble, low enough that barely anyone can't understand what she was saying. But it helps since the feather floats up into the air, hovering over the table.

At the end of class, [Name] walked over to Hermione who ran past her, catching a glimpse of her crying. She wondered what happened, following behind her to check up on her. She enter the girls bathroom and lean against the stall, she slid her notebook underneath the stall. 'Are you alright?'

"[Name]? You're here, I'm fine...it's just Ron being stupid." Hermione was trying not to let Ron words get to her but it still hurt. [Name] decided to stay with her, sitting down on the ground and write in her notebook as there were comforting words to Hermione hoping it would make her feel better.

Hermione started to feel better when reading those messages, replying them back on the notebook. The stall let open, Hermione walked out, "I think I'm ready to head to class, thanks [Name]." She said, giving her a hug which made [Name] smile.

Suddenly a loud noise startled them, wondering where it was coming from as the door opened revealing to be a large troll. Both of the girls were terrified out of their minds, backing themselves into the corner with Hermione clinging onto [Name].

The troll was only a few feet's away from them, holding the club in its hand ready to clobbered them until the door slam open by Harry and Ron. "Confuse it!" Harry said desperately, while seizing a tap which he threw it as hard as he can against the wall. This confused the troll and made eye contact to Harry, making it way towards him with the club in the air.

"Oy, pea brain!" Ron called out, drawing the troll attention to him and threw a metal pipe. The troll didn't react to the pipe being thrown at his shoulder, but it did heard him yelling which gave Harry enough time to run.

"Come on, run, run!" He called out to Hermione and [Name], but both of them were too scared to move as the thought of getting caught by that troll terrified them. The troll was making its way towards Ron who has no way to escape, but Harry had an incredible plan that so stupid and brave at the same time.

He ran towards the troll from behind and jump on its back, fastening his arms around the troll neck. As he jammed his wand into the troll nose, which made the troll howled in pain and flailing his club around, while Harry was holding on his neck for his dear life. Ron pulled out his wand and casted the first spell that came into his mind, "Wingardium Leviosa!" The club was in the troll hand flew out of it and rose up into the air before, slamming onto its head with a sickening crush that can be heard. The troll swayed a little before collapsing onto the ground making the whole bathroom trembled.

It was silent for a moment, with Hermione being the first to ask if the troll was dead which Harry decline thinking it was knocked out. [Name] let out a breath that she had been holding, helping Hermione up from the ground. Her poor heart couldn't take anymore surprises like this, until a moment later Prof. McGonagall arrived bursting into the room with Snape and Quirrell right behind her, unfortunately the Quirrel saw the troll and went completely pale.

While Snape was checking out the troll, the two boys were being scolded by Prof. McGonagall for being reckless and should've told a teacher. "Please, Prof. McGonagall...they were looking for me." Hermione said

"Miss Granger!"

"I went looking for the troll because I...I thought I could deal with it on my own...you know, because I've read all about them."

[Name] quickly wrote in her notebook and held it up, 'I also came along because I wanted to help her look for the troll as well.'

Ron was shocked and drop his wand, as he couldn't believe that Hermione and [Name] lied for them. "If they hadn't found us, we'd be dead now." Hermione begin to explain the details of what happened to the professor.

"Well, in that case..." Prof. McGonagall stared at the four of them, "Miss Granger, Miss Komi, you'd both were foolish, how could you two think of doing something so reckless into fighting a troll all by yourselves."

The two girls had their head down, while they continued to be scolded by the professor. "Miss Granger, five points will be taken from Gryffindor for this and Miss Komi, five points will also be taken from Ravenclaw. I'm very disappointed in both of you, if you're not hurt at all then you'd better get off to your houses. Student are finishing the feast in their houses."

[Name] was about to head to her tower, until she felt a tug on her sleeves and glance to see Hermione. "Why did you lie with me? You could've kept your house points." She said

[Name] did wonder why she joined in the lie, but she didn't want her friend to be alone. "I...I didn't want you to be alone." She says in a low tone.

Hermione eyes widen and smile a little, "thank you." She gave her a hug, which was quickly returned by [Name]. As she glance to see the two boys, it was an awkward silence between the four of them but deep down this was a start of a friendship.

[Name] headed back to her tower to join the feast with her housemates. She answered the riddle to the tower as Amanda rushed over and almost tackled her to the ground. "Where were you? I haven't seen you since Charm class."

[Name] mumble an apology and felt bad for making her friend worry about her. "It's alright just don't do that again, when I heard about a troll being on the loose and I didn't see you with us..." Amanda clung onto her and tightened the hug, "I was worried you could've got hurt."

[Name] gave her a small pat on the back to at least lessen her worries, which helps a little. "Now then, let get you something to eat, and you got to tell me where you were." Amanda dragged her where the rest of the students were as a small smile appears on [Name] face.
