Chapter 1: A Quiet Girl
[Name] was walking down the street with her family, as she was going to collect her owl and robes. She held her mother hand so she doesn't get lost while looking around."I can't believe it, our little girl going to Hogwarts!" Her mother said, smiling.
Her dad nodded, carrying her little brother in his arms as he was also fascinated seeing the some of the people flying on brooms.
They entered the shop, Madam Malkin was busy collecting the robes for newcoming witches and wizards. "I'll be right there with you, my dear." As she finished setting up the robes on the counter, walked over to them. "Now what shall I help you with?"
"My daughter needs a robe for her first day at Hogwarts." Her mother said, placing her hand on her shoulder.
"That must be exciting, please step right up there." She lead the girl onto the stood, slipping the robe over [Name]'s head as Madam begun to make some changes on the length of the robe. After a couple of hours, she was finished and stood up, rubbing her back. "There you go, all nice and clean."
[Name] nodded her head, as her robe was finished being fitted and step down off the stood while her mother paid Madam at her front. As she went to a couple more stores to buy some books supplies and her wand.
The family headed to the pet store to buy an owl, "excuse me! Hello! I'm here to buy an owl for my daughter."
"Of course, would your daughter like to pick out an owl?" The owner asked
"Sweetie do you want to pick an owl?" Her mother asked, kneeling down to her level.
[Name] nodded her head slowly, heading towards the back to check out the nice pretty owls. As there were different type of owls in their cage, some of them looked at her while others ignored them.
She glanced at the white owl with feathers that resembles like snow, as she admires the beauty of owl feathers. She walked over to her mother and tug on her pants, "M...Mama." She mumbled, pointing at the white owl
Her mother went to see what her daughter was pointing at and gasp, "of course you can get it." She stood up, looking at the owner. "Excuse me, my daughter would like that owl with the snowy feathers."
The owner nodded and went to collect the owl while her father decided to pay for it. "Now that we're finished, let have a family dinner at a nice restaurant!" Her mother cheered.
As they enter the restaurant down the street and begin to eat the food they'd ordered, [Name] was eating her favorite food an omelette. "Oh I almost forgot to ask, what you going to name your owl?" Her mother asked
"....Winter because her feathers remind me of the snow." She muttered, poking at her omelette.
"That sounds nice, isn't that right sweetie."
Her father looked up and nod in approval, while her younger brother was clapping in joy with eggs in his mouth.
As they finished eating and went home to enjoy their day, [Name] dreaded for her first day of school to arrived as she was gonna have to meet new people and having to introduce herself made her feel this nervous.
It was September 1st, her family was at the train station looking for platform 9 3/4. They headed towards the barrier where the actual train to Hogwarts is. "Now do you have your ticket and the letter for Dumbledore?" Her mother asked
[Name] nodded her head and gripping her suitcase, feeling nervous as she begin to shake a little.
"Don't be nervous ok, you gonna make some brand new friends and become a witch just like me." Her mother smiled, to calm her daughter down which did ease [Name] anxiety. "Now you gonna have to enter the platform like a big girl, I know it look like a wall but I promise you that it will lead you to the train ok."
[Name] slowly walked towards the wall with her suitcase in her hand and her owl perch on her shoulder. Placing her hand on the wall, she was shocked to see it go through, while she turned around and wave to them.
She walked through the wall, looked up to see a train with smoke releasing from the steam engine. She felt nervous and got on the train, looking for an empty compartment. As she peeked through a compartment hoping it be empty, only to see a black haired boy wearing glasses sitting next to the window. She panicked and mumbled an apology, as she quickly shut the door and head to another compartment.
'I can't believe I almost entered someone compartment, he must think I'm weird.' She thinks, as she found herself an empty compartment and place her suitcase down and having her pet owl in the cage beside her.
She sat down and glance out at the window, the train started to move as she can see some adults rushing to say goodbyes to their children's. She smiled at the sudden moment until the door open startling her, as it was girl with bushy brown hair.
"Oh, sorry there was no free compartment. Is it alright if I stay here?" She asked
[Name] felt nervous but wanted to make an effort on making a new friend, nodding her head allowing the girl to joined her.
"Thanks, I'm Hermione Granger." She introduced herself
She open her mouth to speak but nothing but stutter came out as she was shaking like a leaf. Feeling more nervous, she didn't want to make a fool of herself and glance down.
She quickly pulled out her notebook from her suitcase and started to write down her name, after she was finished and handed it to Hermione.
"Oh [Name]? That's a nice name." She said, handing back the notebook to her. "Are you mute? Is that why you didn't speak?"
[Name] shook her head and wrote down her thoughts in the notebook as she showed it to her. 'I'm sorry, I can talk but I'm not good with speaking in front of others. I always have this problem, ever since I was a child. I always fear I might said the wrong thing or make someone upset... I want to be able to make some friends but I'm afraid I won't be able to make that goal.'
"Oh, I'm sorry about that hmm... how about I help you make some friends just after we get settled. I can be your first friend." Hermione said
[Name] was shocked and grip her notebook, as she couldn't believe that she just made a friend, her first friend for the first time. 'Thank you.'
"Aw you're welcome." Hermione said
As the two girls started off being friends, having a nice conversation with each other. The compartment door opened revealing a boy named Neville, as he was asking about his frog whereabouts.
"I don't know where your frog is, but I can help you find it." Hermione said, getting up from her seat. "I'll be right back, [Name]." She said, leaving with Neville to find his frog.
[Name] nods and glance at her owl, decided to let her out of her cage as Winter fly around the room for a moment before landing on her lap. She smile and pet her owl feathers, feeling how smooth it is.
After a couple of hours passed by, the door open revealing an elderly lady pushing the cart full of snacks and pastries, [Name] got up to see her favorite pasty which was the cake. She went to pay the lady for the cake and smile in delight, waving the lady goodbye and closed the door.
As she took a bite out of the cake and gasp at how delicious it tasted, she continue to eat the cake while sharing some with her owl.
[Name] has finished eating her cake and noticed it was getting quite dark, as the door opened with Hermione in a whole new outfit with her robe on. "Sorry I was late, I couldn't find Neville frog but I just want to tell you that you should get change, we're almost at Hogwarts." Hermione said
[Name] nodded and went to put on her school robe, as she checked outside to see how beautiful it was. She glance to see a large castle and wonder if that was Hogwarts.
"We should get our stuff since the train going to stop in five minutes. Hermione said, grabbing her trunk and her owl.
[Name] grab her suitcase and put her owl back in her cage, as she felt excited but really nervous starting in a new school with strangers she doesn't know...well beside Hermione.
As the train arrived at the destination, the new coming students exit the train along, as today would start a journey for [Name] to make some friends.
