"Sometimes things don't go as planned. It's called life."

To my readers,

I hope all of you are having a wonderful summer! Unfortunately, I have come to the decision that this story will be going on hiatus for a while. I'm truly sorry to disappoint all of you since I know that many of you were enjoying this story and were interested in the plot. However, I want to reassure all of you that I am not going to leave it unfinished. I wish I could write more chapters for this story right now, but my hands are tied.

Now, you may be asking: Why are you putting the story on hiatus if you want to write more chapters? While brainstorming and writing down ideas for my upcoming story, Gale, I noticed that this story contains several continuity errors. This fact creates a few problems, mainly plot holes and inconsistencies in the overall lore of my Oz universe. They are too big to be fixed with simple edits. I will not be deleting the published chapters of this story because I haven't rewritten them. Also, I realized that I cannot write new chapters for this story until Gale is a few chapters in, as I don't know what to fix quite yet.

The main issue that sparked this whole situation was a sudden influx of creativity. New ideas that my brain has conjured up conflicts with what is written in this story. These ideas, however, are too good to ignore, and I want to use them.

The reason why this happened, at least my guess, is the fact that Gale didn't come first like it was supposed to. In other words, Gale was supposed to be my first story. The Day of the Seventeen-Headed Dragon initially started out as a fun, non-serious Dorrow story. But slowly, I realized how much plot was involved and how details in it tied into Gale. I have decided to make this book the third installment of my Oz universe.

That means, as it now stands, it will be Gale, my second book, and then this one. I will let you all in on a little secret. Gale will not focus on the Nome Kingdom or the Nome King. That will be covered in the second book. Gale is a totally new story that doesn't pull from Oz book lore. The only concepts really taken from it are Lurline and her family and Tin Man's tragic backstory.

I know what some of you may be thinking: "If this story is not going to be updated, where will we get our daily dose of Dorrow wholesomeness?" Well, I have a solution! Long ago, I had this idea to make a Dorrow one-shot book. If any of you read my first update, it will be filled with stories like that. I practically enjoy writing about Dorothy and Scarecrow's possible life in Kansas. Since I feel extremely bad about this whole mix-up with this story, I want to hear suggestions from you! I am 100% willing to take any story ideas you would like to see involving my versions of the two of them. These stories are non-serious and won't have a lot of plot, but I can assure you that they will be very romantic and interesting.

Again, I want to apologize to all of you, especially those who have shown their support and love for this story. I hope you can forgive me. I promise that I will not leave this unfinished, unless something drastic happens in my life. Too many stories, especially ones like this, are left incomplete. I don't plan on my story being one of them.

Thank you all and best wishes,

The Gale Narrator

PS: If you have any suggestions for my Dorrow one-shot book, feel free to leave them in the comments or dm them to me!
