Birthday [Midorima Shintaro x Reader]

It's during class that you decide to ask him, and tear a piece of notebook paper from your notebook and write on it, before quickly throwing it at him. You stifle a laugh as it hits his head, and he looks around. You wave when he looks at you, and you point at the crumpled paper.

'I like Midorima. Help me? c: '

He writes before he throws it back. 'Sure! How!?'

You smile and begin to write back.

At lunch you meet up with him, the boy known as Takao. Or rather, your very slightly older cousin Takao.

"Sorry Shin-chan, but I'm going to be busy, okay?"

"Idiot go ahead, I don't care." Midorima scowls and walks away.

Takao grins as he walks over to you, "So, when do we start?"

"Well I was thinking, we could finish planning it, and start today, but really do it tomorrow."

"Ah, yeah that makes sense! His birthday is tomorrow after all."

"So let's meet after school and start buying the stuff, okay?"

He nods fervently, and you two go over tomorrow's plans again.

Midorima was sleeping peacefully, enjoying his rest after a long, tiring day. Especially after staying late to practice, it was much needed.

Bzzzt! Bzzzzzt! Bzzzzt!

His eyes snap open, and he furrows his brows as he reaches for his glasses. 'What the heck, nanodayo!?' He angrily thinks as he reaches for his phone. It stops vibrating as he answers, thinking that this MUST be important.

"Hello?"

"Shin-chan! Happy birthday!" He hears laughter before Takao hangs up. Stupid idiot- what the heck is wrong with him!? His phone vibrates more and he scowls as he sees his phone fill with text messages.

Happy Birthday Shin-chan!! xD

HBDAY SHIN-CHAN!

Also good morning!

Aaaaaaaaayyee!!!'

Midorima growled, he was woken up for this!?? He started texting back, but was pissed off more when more messages kept coming.

'To: Takao
Sent: 12:03 am
Let me sleep, you idiot!

To: Takao
Sent: 12:03 am
Go die!!

To: Takao
Sent: 12:03 am
Leave me alone!

To: Takao
Sent: 12:04 am
Takaaaoooo!!!'

The next day when you wake up, you can't help but squeal into your pillow- today was the day! You check your phone, seeing you have messages.

'From: Takao
Sent: 12:08 am
Hahaha [Name]-chan I did what you said and I called and texted Shin-chan!'

You smile, but cringe, what if he went overboard..? When you gave him the idea, or rather reminded him, it wasn't that intentional. You just brought up to him about the thing you did for your friends and family. Texting and calling them at 12am right when their birthday starts.

You know Midorima gets annoyed easily, especially by Takao's antics, so you can only sigh, thinking that Takao definately must have gone to the extremes with it. Regardless, You pull off your covers and start getting ready for school, being sure to grab everything you would need for today's events.
