SAM KNOCKS ON LUNA'S BEDROOM door seeing said girl placing her Halloween costume on her queen bed ready for the dance that's coming up tomorrow night.
"Cool outfit." Sam voices walking up to stand beside her sister, "Thanks, are you and the girls still going as Laker cheerleaders?" Luna questions placing a pair of cowgirl boots she got given for her birthday on the foot of her bed.
"Yeah, Moon still really wants you to dress up like one with us." Sam explains.
"Look Sam, I don't appreciate Yasmine and the others bullying one of my best friends all because of his lip, it's uncalled for. So no, I won't go dressed as a lakers cheerleader and be associated as 'one of those girls', it's hard enough sitting with them at lunch in the cafeteria." Luna mutters seeing Sam nodding at her.
"That's understandable. Need a lift to school?" Sam wonders, "Uh, nah, I'm gonna drive myself, I have to pick something up at the mall after school anyways." Luna responds with a smile.
"Okay." Sam nods walking out of Luna's bedroom following said girl downstairs to have breakfast with the rest of the family.
"Morning girls." Amanda greets seeing the two sisters sitting together at the table.
"Good morning, Mom." Luna greets sipping on the orange juice Sam poured her.
"Morning." Sam mumbles before biting into her pancakes noticing Luna doing the same thing with a few of her strawberries.
Luna remains sitting at the kitchen table while Sam grabs her bag and rushes outside hearing Kyler beeping his horn outside.
"Thank goodness, I said no to a lift." Luna huffs looking her father staring out of the window watching Sam and Kyler kiss beside the boys jeep.
"Okay, I gotta run into the office, apparently your cousin Louie didn't show up again, so we're short-staffed." Amanda voices coming downstairs.
"Okay." Daniel responds flatly still looking at Kyler and Sam outside.
Luna smirks to herself and frowns noticing her father's been quiet since getting home last night.
"I know that your mother said that he cleaned up his act, but it's just not working out. Yesterday I caught him sticking his bare hands in the popcorn machine, it's disgusting," Amanda voices looking at Luna who grimaces in disgust.
"Gross." Luna utters hearing Daniel hum in response, Amanda looks at Luna who chuckles lowly placing her sketchpad in her bag for school and winking at her mom to say something weird to see if her father is paying attention.
"You know, Louie opened an underground casino in the break room," Amanda says.
"Yeah, wait, what?" Daniel responds looking at his wife confused hearing Luna giggle in the kitchen.
